We need to become a better ball screen defense team if we're going to be an elite defense. Even Trent and DMW struggle at times with it.

Though if we score 100 pts a game it probably won't matter

Agree...The last few games were wars and they seemed to want it more. We have been better on paper for the last 2 years...and still lost

Mizzou will be physical, as always and we must respond well...or we will lose.

Please team...help us avoid another braggin rights postgame meltdown forum on our hands for the 4th year in a row.....

It was a brilliant idea many years ago to schedule this Border War game for every season. Wisconsin... Iowa... Indiana... yearly conference foes in border States with a long Illini matchup history. But with Missouri not being a conference team it is always special to play them with the long border Illinois shares with that State and the unique position of St. Louis straddling the big river with a metro area of the two States and the inherent rivalries involved.

Lots of good ballers always coming out of St. Louis City and Metro East. Talent-rich over the years. And of course, the dramas of the two programs and the games that have been played over the years and the undercurrents and intrigue.

And having this game just before Christmas just always adds another layer of fun to it all.

Next up... set up a yearly game like this with Kentucky. That other border State. No big enough city to hold that one on that other river, so make it a yearly home-and-home trade off. And of course... beat them SOUNDLY.

I want a replay of that 30-pt rout in '05 when The Mighty Quin Snyder manned the helm of the fearsome Miznoz juggernaut. One of the few massive blowouts.

And didn't Norm Stewart want out of the arrangement after Lou beat him 7 or 8 straight in the '80s? Good times are not forgotten.

Came here to say this. Missouri getting a win against a power 5 will have their confidence up, so we better be ready. But I have a feeling that Trent, DMW, Kofi and Grandi will be extra fired up to bring it to Miznoz.
