Not happy about this game on a Friday. College football should stay on Saturdays. I realize a whole herd of horses are out of the barn on this one, but wish My Team would take a stand and preserve Fridays for high school games!

I'll take Friday any time over the dreaded 11:00 AM Saturday games. Those are the worst. Back in my day (yeah, right) all games were 1:00 in the afternoon. Perfect.

Is the replay going to Be available to watch online somewhere immediately after?

So are they encouraging fans to wear orange instead of blue for this game?

Regardless of the final score, I actually thought we made strides in the UCF game. It has been well documented that CFB is not NCABB, it takes some time. Well, the bigger the mess, the bigger the cleanup...it may be slower than our rabid fanbase (meant in a positive way) may like, but Lovie and staff are doing things right. I think we win this game, because the team fights to the end.

Psychologically we have them where we want them. Their assistant coach says they are 'relieved' to have beaten Rutgers. They will come in thinking they have righted the ship and will not know what hits them when Hardy unleashes the boys. We will have at least one defensive score.

Old timers will remember the popular fictional book series "The Hardy Boys". We have our own Illini Football version on defense. :thumb:

Picked this game as a loss in the prediction thread, but I now see it as very winnable with the expectation we win and go 3-1. Defense rules, special teams come through, hopefully the offense does its part.

Spread is dropping. I see -5.5 now. If our defense executes like against WKU, we win this easy.

Anyone know of a way I can listen to this game while out of the region? Will be on the move and trying to find an app I can download that will provide play-by-play.

I'm fairly confident you can download the Tune In app and listen to the game for free from the Illini broadcast.

We aren't going against a WKU level offensive line.

Actually, we might be. O-line is one of Nebraska's weakness (just like ours). They also have a pocket QB that doesn't do well under pressure (7 TD and 9 int in 4 games with 3 of them being pick-6). This will come down to a game of defenses.

Yeah, WKU might have a better o line really.

Given what our offense has shown so far, I'd say we need a non-offensive TD to win. Personally, I'm rooting for a kickoff return. Which leads me to a trivia question:

Since Arrelious Benn mowed down the Penn St coverage team for a score in 2007, two Illini have returned a kickoff for a touchdown. Who are they?

Did anyone notice Cam Miller (#14) played? Per fightingillini.com:

Made his Illinois debut in the opener against Ball State
