Just bought my tickets. Let's hope this turns out better than me going to the NU football game.

If it doesn't, please consider a self-imposed lifetime ban on NU games

I can't do that, Dave.

Not with the fact that I live in Chicago. I need to see them die in person. Also, I'm not one to actually believe I can influence the outcome of a game; I'm not suiting up.

I'll leave you with this: the last Illini home basketball game I attended was last March against Northwestern. We won that one. ;)

Fair enough. Redeemed. I just started drinking from a new Illini mug on game days and we're 3-0 since, so maybe I can influence the outcome of the game in spite of being an out-of-state middle aged bald dude.

High probability we'll face some zone against NW. Ayo, Trent, Alan (and hopefully Tev) will need to hit some three's. Looks like the Cats will get their first win today -- I'm glad.

typically 2nd semester starts the Tuesday after MLK weekend so you might have a few students back but most will still be gone

Going through the remaining schedule, I put us at 20-11 to finish. I think we have the ability to get 22 wins this season, but I won’t drink that much kool aid yet.

Our season feels very fragile still, so...with that being said, this is a must win.

It's odd, but I feel the same way about how fragile our situation is. I really, really, really x 100.....wish we didn't lose that home game to Miami. I'd feel so much better if we didn't that have that looming. Obviously, NW and Nebraska need to be resounding wins. If we could pick up 2 or 3 more road wins, that would be ideal.

I'd also like to see us move into the low 20s in the NET rankings.

Good guys. 70

I think we've turned the corner. We may have some misfiring cylinders, and around the corner is still a large hill.....but the end of the last two games have shown what this team is becoming. Relentless.

With the defense we've shown in the last three games, we have a very real chance to win every single game remaining. Of course we won't, but I genuinely feel after watching us throw up bricks...and still closing....we know how to win now.
