And the radio was ahead of the gameplay on TV which also made it difficult.
when listening to the radio audio feed you need to unclick the live icon on your video feed........I always do that and the B$G + game against EIU was the best it's been as far as sync'ed for my setup here in Paducah.....never had to re-adjust once....I really really didn't..........

Expect a much better performance for this one. Brad will be on them all week
A few comments as the Illini move toward the Oakland game.....

1. Why wasn't BU on them last week? I was present last night and that first ten minutes was unacceptable. The Illini were lethargic and being man handled by a far lesser physically gifted team. I blame the staff for that.
2. We are going to miss Sencire/Buck this year.
3. Was very impressed with DGL. The Kid was everywhere. His offense was needed, but his elevation on the block of the dunk attempt was a WOW moment! The player from Eastern was way above the rim and DGL came out of nowhere to snuff it!
4. New starting lineup should be: DGL, Domask, TSJ, QG, and DD. Second wave includes CH, Goode, and Rodgers. BU's starting lineup had no chemistry at the beginning of both halves and really killed the vibe of an opening night crowd that was ready to ROCK!!
5. Hoping it was first game nerves that affected our shooting and free throws last night. I felt every one but CH had good form on their shot so that bodes well moving forward.

I think you may be getting a bit ahead of yourself after 1 game. CoHawk is a vital member of this team that had a bad game, but that doesn't change his worth. Also, DGL played very well, but like most freshman, he will have ups and downs. I don't think that he should be automatically our starting PG after a single game.

Benching Coleman after a bad game against Eastern in which we won 80-52 is wild lol

Agree 💯. I will state Purdue started 2 freshman at the 1 and 2 last year and worked out pretty well. If DGL has it, he simply does play him at the 1!
IMO: DGL, TSjr., TyRodgers, Cohawk, and Dainja.
Domask, QG, Goode, and Harmon off bench.

I simply don't want Cohawk playing 5.
My starting lineup, you have DGL, TSjr. And Cohawk, hopefully shooting 35% from 3 and getting in the driving lanes to open things up.

1.) Pretty tough to harp on guys who just beat the #1 team in the country. They wouldn't listen to it anyway... They just beat the #1 team in the country. The 1st 10 minutes of last night's game might have been the best thing for the team in the long run.

You beat #1 for a reason. One of the worst teams in the country came out and punched you in the mouth for the same reason.

Effort.

4.) No. He's a freshman who played great against a bad team. HIs time will come. If he continues to perform like that in B1G play, then I'm all for it.

Hawkins has earned his starting spot. We wouldn't have been in the game with Kansas w/o him. He didn't play well last night but sounds like he's been sick so that would explain the sub-par performance. If this team is going to approach its ceiling, he has to play well and play a lot.

How do we sell out Oakland, but not a charity benefitting #1 Kansas game with Bill Self and Hunter Dickinson? Geez, I just don’t understand. But I’m also happy that we sold it out and can’t wait to be yelling I-L-L with 16.4k other fans on Friday.
$80 tickets vs $6 tickets
$80 is a lot for students and some families. $6 is very doable for all.

Props to our fan base for selling out a home game vs. Oakland! Per Wikipedia, we drew 15,014 for the home opener (approximately 97% of capacity). Impressive!

It was actually nowhere near that full which is understandable for a Monday night game against a bad opponent but still disappointing for the home opener. I think they were anticipating that which is why they were being so active before the game giving out seat upgrades to make the lower sections look more full. Our entire section behind the bench were all people who got upgrades.

The Krush was also very weak. They cheered when we made a basket and threw out a couple "air ball" chants but otherwise didn't really add much to the atmosphere. For now, I'll just write it off to a Monday night game against EIU after a time change. Hopefully they wake up a little bit by Friday night.

I'm hoping we start to run some action getting Rodgers and Domask the ball in the post. Rodgers can bully people down there and Domask has a polished back to the basket game. And both are good distributors.

Seems like a good way to get the offense flowing when we are playing flat.
By the end of the season Amani should be ready to run low post action as a starter.

I'm not entirely sure I can handle watching 2 more games on the B1G+ "network". That was a truly painful experience. Yikes.
It is amateur broadcast hour for sure. I trued to listen to wdws for the play by play but i can’t stand the audio being 1 second ahead of the video.

Okay,

1) It’s still tickets sold. People bought those tickets.

2) Okay fine forget I said anything, lol, and focus on the positivity of us selling out a game vs. Oakland.
I just hope the crowd is not walking zombies like last night the rest of the year. I could've had a pleasant 2 way conversation with Daddy Brad from my seats in the upper poor man section.

A bit ahead of themselves? I believe they may have jumped out of their own skin...

People keep saying this, but can we really miss a guy that was going to barely play?
