PSA - for all those who hate listening to crap announcers and aren't afraid of computers (that's... everyone here, right?), listen to the Illinois broadcast!

If you say, 'ah, but my radio is way out of sync' - that's why I recommend listening to the game on the internet. Lots of Illini Network stations stream. In many players, you can pause and start and fix your own delay.

If your picture is faster than the radio, chances are still good that you're watching a paid service. These days, that means you are likely able to log in somewhere to stream it, giving you the ability to tweak delay.

This isn't feasible for everybody every time, but I hope it helps somebody.

Good post..........I use the radio feed Dan provides in the first post of the game thread.....................I watch the game on Hulu Live on my cpu........it's so easy to sync up , if you even have to, using the pause button on either the radio feed or the tv feed.....FS1 and FS2 are a lot worse than the BTN as far as having a delay one way or another and if you click the play live icon on the tv feed it usually solves the problem......

I've been doing this for many years now and it's the only way to listen to Illini FB or BB games...

Who's gonna guard Jaden from Purdue? And they have 2 bigs that are awesome. Zach Edey is not the same player he was last year! 1 most importantly who is gonna guard Jaden? We shall see?

I would expect DMFW and CoHawk to split time on him, with Trent at times.

Plummer is not an acceptable alternative at all..............I would think DMW starting out , then jake if DMW gets in foul trouble.......Trent is our best defender but we need him at PG more than on the bench with foul trouble trying to guard Ivey......

Ivy does play out of control a lot and maybe we can get him in foul trouble either by getting charges called against him or focus on going to the Illini he is guarding on D.....

I'm really looking forward to this game as we are playing well enough to beat almost anyone right now.....gotta hit our 3;s better for sure....

I like DMFW to body him and CoHawk for the height/reach factor .. Trent would be effective on him in short, critical stretches but yeah, we need Trent for O steadiness and spurtability right now even more than his defense.

Purdue has an Iowa vibe to them this year. Not the same up tempo style, but they have an elite offense while their defense isn't that good. To me that leads to inconsistencies. When their offense is humming they have too many weapons and are nearly unbeatable. But when it's not (like ours was last night) they struggle to win games because their defense doesn't back them up.

The Positive - Purdue has only played 2 true away games and they haven't looked as good in either. Lost to Rutgers and beat Penn St but not by much. Small sample size but the stats say their defense played a lot worse in those 2 games and their 3 pt shooting took a drop as well.

The Negative - I don't know who guards Jaden Ivey. Trent is undersized, but Damonte and Grandison are too slow IMO. If I'm BU I think I start off with Trent on him and see if Trent can use his quickness to make him settle for jumpers.

I'm excited to see what BU has in store. It would also be nice to simply get hot from 3. We are due.

I am lmao, DT. "What is internet anyway?" The look of consternation on each of the three faces that persists throughout this clip is priceless. Bless you for putting some wind in my sails on a frigid Saturday morning.

I sometimes am not able to watch a game live or sometimes I want to watch a second time. Is there a way to do this when not watching? Anyone? Thanks.

Great opportunity to sweep January in front of us. Purdue is good, but not better than us if we play with the right energy. We need more from the bench tho. Underwood has really tightened up the rotation. A fast start would let him sub more and keep guys fresh. This is a long grind ahead of us. Esp in February. I’d love to see Kofi and Trent with about 5 less minutes per game.

Can somebody explain to me why in hell we have to play a 11 a.m. game on a holiday. Just looked at games scheduled on Mon. Very few games. NFL playoff game Monday night. Do the networks have that much control over times. It's all about the dollars. The NCAA has been getting their butts handed to them recently. I think that is great. It will never happen to the sports networks!!!!!!

OK , 2-3 posters have sounded the alarm about us getting beat if......................................????

How about we wait until the game starts and see what happens............purdont went on the road to Rutgers as the # 1 team in the country and
LOST..........purdont's so called 2 headed monster didn't win it and Rutger's is weak at center ....................we beat Rutgers by 35 points ........and this game is going to be in the House of Paign..........

What's up with the negativity 2-3 days before the game starts..............................

Another night after winning a B1G game and improving to 6-0 and the handwringing already starts.....I guess there's no confidence in this years team or not enough confidence.........I'll admit , I was worried that we might let tonight's game slip away from us for a few fleeting seconds , but the facts are scUM
NEVER led in tonight's game .....never.......and purdont was beaten by a team that we beat by 35 points.....If that doesn't instill some confidence in us going into Monday's game , then I hope you can survive the next 60 hours before we take the court and beat the purdontians and go to 7-0 in the B1G.....

The 2021-22 Fighting Illini , battle tested and ready to play and beat everyone in the B1G.....................GO ILLINI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agreed, but you have to cut peopysome slack since it is too early for people to be talking about how bad the officiating, the announcers and the post-game presser questions are since game hasn’t even started yet.

I like the matchups and am looking forward to good game. Illini are 6-0, and I expect them to be 7-0 by late afternoon on Monday. Just waiting to see who the heroes are in the game.

Going up against Purdue, we are going to face the biggest test the Illini have had since the Arizona game. In all six of our Big Ten wins, we have played mostly the bottom of the conference, with a combined record of 8 wins and 23 losses. Taking care of business so far has been great, but a concerted effort will be needed as we compete against the other nationally ranked conference teams. I like our chances to win a fair share of these games and get ready for the tourney.

That's why I feel more relaxed before each game these days than I have been since perhaps '05 (and no, I'm not comparing the two teams.) Would enjoy seeing domination from tip to final horn; however, we're deep and someone steps up when needed. That'll work until it doesn't. So many players bringing different facets to the group effort. Love this team.

No gimmies in Big Ten games.
