Why not just watch the game on your phone? It just irks me that I have to work tomorrow so I'll miss the game. Its Martin Luther King Jr Day for crying out loud! Everyone should get that day off imo
This makes Denzel Washington as Malcom X and myself very frustrated.
Oh well I'll be checking the score on my phone non stop hoping that our beloved Fighting Illini beat down the boilers. GO ILLINI!
Because then we look really short. But I’m just a caveman. Why not just watch the game on your phone?
It's going to take beating a good team. They've been feasting on the bottom of the conference, which is good, have to best them too! Nobody is saying they aren't good again. They absolutely are! It's a team that's very, very streaky because big their reliance on the three. Recently, they had a real bad stretch in the first half vs Maryland, they didn't play well until the last five minutes vs Nebraska age Michigan was ugly. That said, they won all of those games.Sometimes I wonder what it would take for some of you to believe that Illinois basketball is good again. Clearly winning is not sufficient.
No early foul trouble and make a reasonable percentage of our 3s and we will eek out a win.Let’s not forget, Purdue is worse defensively than Michigan, Maryland and Rutgers. We are going to get ours on the offensive end. The points will be there — they are not disciplined enough to stop both Kofi and all of our shooters. This game literally comes down to our defensive effort. If we’re locked in on that end of the floor, we beat this Purdue team. Plain and simple.
It's early. There's a legitimate debate about how much that represents the bottom of the conference versus it being more the middle and they've all just played the top team (us). At the very least I'd say Maryland and Minnesota are middle of the conference. I have no idea what to make of Michigan. Talented by raw, I guess. It's going to take beating a good team. We've played one top 25 team to date, at home, and lost. It SEEMS that we have issues with length and athleticism on the interior.
Like I said, beating Purdue is an extremely tall order. That doesn't mean that we aren't good, but beating them puts us into the elite category. I think that this is a top 20 team, not a top 5 one, which given how this had played out to date ...it's what we are.
A win today would blow up any/all of my concerns.
The company I work for rules. Got the day off and will be able to watch the game in the comfort of my own home. Why not just watch the game on your phone?
In 2004-2005, we were beating elite teams early and in very, very impressive fashion. This team doesn't have a signature win yet, but have not looked great recently. Can't compare the two. Now, they have a whole lot of opportunities to get that big win coming up. The waters really get choppy from here on out from a scheduling standpoint. We're going to find out soon enough.Wonder what these fans were like in 2004-2005? Smh
I'd have found it easier to watch this at work. I have a private office. Now I'm at home with the 2 and 4 year old and might be watching the game on my phone while they watch Disney or something. The company I work for rules.
