100%. If I'm an NFL GM judging 2 players with identical credentials, I'll take the guy who went into the trenches with his teammates one final time.

All blue is risky. Last win in all blue?

You gotta assume that Kreutz is heading into coaching as Mr. Tibbs mentioned. He's a multi-year captain with an OL-focused HC and has to have major networking connections because of his father, BB, and connection to Illinois. I also think that even though he's not the best of the best he has done a lot as a significantly undersized C in the B1G and he's been pretty well spoken in interviews I've seen. He could have a very promising future in coaching.

Any idea on the team hotel? I think I saw it was the downtown DoubleTree but wanted to confirm.

Since 2001 my favorite all time Illini has been Kurt Kittner. Luke is a solid #2 now. Kurt still gets the nod cause of the BIG title. Both kinda similar guys. Probably not NFL studs but real good college QB's and great lead by example types. Everything that is right with college sports in an era where little is right with college sports.

And for old times sake, still got to shout out Rocky Harvey. He was my 2 pre Luke. I'll call him 2a now. Loved that little guy toting the rock.

I think he meant navy jerseys and navy pants, which we wore last year against Purdue. We also wore that combo twice the year before, beating FAU and losing to Nebraska.

I think they already announced the Block I helmet, but to honor of the passing of Coach Mike White I vote for this combo.

Think Luke has a chance to translate pretty well to the NFL. He can be an NFL QB for a long time. Extremely well rounded as a QB who is very accurate with arm talent and good arm strength. The ability to make plays with his feet adds in, and he's arguably the most clutch QB in this draft.

Should be a favorite in the pre draft process and think he goes before the 5th. He could be really good for a long time especially if he's put in a good situation (Weapons, etc.).

I would love to be wrong, but I don't see that happening.

Here's the list of QBs drafted all time: https://www.drafthistory.com/index.php/positions/qb. I'm not sure Luke is in the same caliber as the QBs drafted in the 4th round or higher in pretty much any year the past decade. In the last 10 drafts, there have been an average of 7 QBs drafted in the first 4 rounds. Love Luke, and he's been a God send for Illinois, but I don't see him being one of the top 7 QBs drafted this year.

If he gets drafted (which, I even think that's an if), it will be late rounds/day 3 stuff where teams look for guy to fill a QB spot they can develop.

I'm not expert, and will gladly be wrong.

if luke is healthy coming out of the bowl game can work out for teams and play in the senior bowl, i see him moving up.
teams get their eyes on him, interview him and he's a 3rd rounder. i said it, willing to be wrong.
