Or maybe I should hang out on the launchpad with the other three posters there.might as well go to the game wearing neutral colors if you can't root for "your team." Or just skip it all together.

One thing is certain, you keep digging in your heels on bashing Bielema. You better hope that none of this message board banter gets to the Illini players (like they need anymore motivation as it is).I could personally make fun of BB to his face as a Toledo fan and that's fun for us. 1-0 baby.
You're going to make fun of a guy who gets paid millions of dollars to coach a sport because he lost 1 game to the school you root for? I have a feeling Bret wouldn't really care.I could personally make fun of BB to his face as a Toledo fan and that's fun for us. 1-0 baby. And I never once brought up ISU in 2015. One of you did.
I'll let them know. One thing is certain, you keep digging in your heels on bashing Bielema. You better hope that none of this message board banter gets to the Illini players (like they need anymore motivation as it is).

We will see how well this post ages next Saturday. Somehow I doubt you will be making fun of BB to his face come 10 PM CT on 9/2.
Okay, but then you had to go back to Ohio after the game, so really it's 1-1 at bestI could personally make fun of BB to his face as a Toledo fan and that's fun for us. 1-0 baby. And I never once brought up ISU in 2015. One of you did.
It's only warranted "bragadociousness" when prompted. Responded when asked. If someone said "has Toledo even every had an NFL player?" That's when I get fired up.Looked at inferior by who? As a non P5 school I think Toledo is very respectable over the years. Toledo probably got more national air time than Illinois looking back over the years. Looking for that bulletin board material on an Illini board.......whatever gets you pumped up
It would be like an Illini fan starting an account on a Toledo forum and preaching about Red Grange and Dick Butkus
Absolutely. He had egg on his face for about a month after that loss! He criticized Ohio States SOS THAT week that they dont play anybody, and Toledo strolled into Little Rock with a Brad Paisly concert waiting outside just to make him a laughing stock! Was amazing. It's not like shots at the SEC come too often for MAC teams. You're going to make fun of a guy who gets paid millions of dollars to coach a sport because he lost 1 game to the school you root for? I have a feeling Bret wouldn't really care.
I said that it should be, never said it will be. I also said that they'll win, not in blowout fashion.....yet comfortably. 17 is comfortably. You just said it should be a 3 touchdown win 2 posts before this….then predicted a 17 point win….

We want Bama

Have no expertise on football but difference last year seemed to be : very few missed tackles and very few dropped balls (which frequently lead to interceptions). Simplistic view of a well coached team with a higher ceiling. This will be a tough game. A MAC school always wants to beat the Big Ten. We should have beaten IU last year cannot take any team for granted
Illinois has some questions that won’t be answered until we play games
1. Is our new QB as good as last year. We were fortunate to have a qb that didn’t kill drives with INTs
2. How do you replace Chase Brown. He did not score a lot of TDs but he wore defenses down in the 4th quarter
3. Our entire secondary will be basically brand new. Can they generate the turnovers and help with the run game like last year’s
With that said both our O line and D line should be as good if not better than last year. That should help with questions 2 and 3.
I trust BB will have this team focused on the task at hand and not look past anyone. I think have Jim being a special advisor will help scout out opponent and help prepare game plans
If our new qb is smart with the ball and we can establish the running game we should win.
2015 was my last year as a student. The squad wasn't super happy to play #24 Temple in the bowl game, but Boca Raton had other perks than the ex MAC opponent. They went about their business.Well that would be an exciting game...for 1-5 minutes.
As a member of student staff, did you ask the team if they are ready for that type of beatdown?
I mean, the MAC Champs from 2022 lost by 56 points to the eventual 4 seed in the CFP playoffs last year, but you want to step up a level to Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
