Between Petty, Boyd, Clayton, and Lopati (assuming no flips), I'd be shocked if there at least a couple transfers out of the QB room in the next couple seasons. I'm sure they all want to play.I'd imagine Petty transfers then.

I'm super excited for this year and know we should enjoy this season before thinking too much about next, but curious if you'd provide any early odds on next year's starter?Petty is way behind Boyd. Boyd is the clear cut 3rd string and even pushed Hampton at times for 2nd. Stature aside kid can sling it.
Leary might be 3rd string at Tulane fwiw...
1. Look at you, gumshoe! Seriously, that is some impressive sleuthing on that one; IMO.What part of Wisconsin do you hail from Mr. Tibbs? Or perhaps closer to Boston...

I grew up with it, but Mom is from Sout' Milwaukee.1. Look at you, gumshoe! Seriously, that is some impressive sleuthing on that one; IMO.
2. That’s a bit peculiar that Wisconsin and Massachusetts of all places share this…and nowhere else; or is it just me? Seems downright, random.
I've mentioned before on here that I was born in Peoria but moved to Iowa City around age 8 (and grew up there through high school, as an Illini fan!). I distinctly remember my parents noticing two weird things that my sister and I started saying that they grew up not saying, as we learned speaking habits from those around us in Iowa:What part of Wisconsin do you hail from Mr. Tibbs? Or perhaps closer to Boston...

I'm about 3 hours away and coming down for the game.Anyone driving more than 3 hours to get there?
As a lifelong Metro East-ern/St. Louisan, I have no idea what either of these refer to...I've mentioned before on here that I was born in Peoria but moved to Iowa City around age 8 (and grew up there through high school, as an Illini fan!). 1. Calling what my parents would call a water fountain a "drinking fountain," which is awesome to see laid out on this map.
2. Calling what my parents would call a parking deck a "parking ramp."

Water fountainI call it a drinking fountain. From Chicago area.
That all depends on the portal imoI'm super excited for this year and know we should enjoy this season before thinking too much about next, but curious if you'd provide any early odds on next year's starter?
Not only do they exist, but they have a new lease on life due to the proliferation of reusable water bottles. I see them everywhere connected to the refill stations for those. Don't think the water fountain portion gets as much use as it used to, but they're still there.funny
I know it’s called a bubbler in Wisc
I chose that word over “water fountain”, as I didn’t know if anyone under age 30 even knows what a water fountain , that you drink from , is .
do they even exist anymore ?
Yup, been to Iowa 100 times and the 'ramp' thing will never not sound weird. Ramps are things that get you TO the deck, where you park. Or in a high-end restaurant, vegetables.I've mentioned before on here that I was born in Peoria but moved to Iowa City around age 8 (and grew up there through high school, as an Illini fan!). Dixon, Beatty, Clement, Elzy in that order. Is that somewhat where we're at?
Purdue paying $500k to lose.Someone asked how much WIU is getting paid to play....
Breakdown of FBS guaranteed money for 2025 games involving Illinois FCS teams
Illinois State at Oklahoma (Aug. 30) $625,000
Eastern Illinois at Alabama (Nov. 22) $560,000
Southern Illinois at Purdue (Sept. 6) $500,000
Western Illinois at Illinois (Aug. 29) $500,000
Western Illinois at Northwestern (Sept. 6) $400,000
I think Elzy probably relieves Clement on the outside, Bowick subs in for Dixon, Beatty is a true slot.Dixon, Beatty, Clement, Elzy in that order. Is that somewhat where we're at?
Elzy is starting - he’s the only one playing X in that grouping.Dixon, Beatty, Clement, Elzy in that order. Is that somewhat where we're at?

Maybe. Perhaps it will be against Duke and V’Angelo Bentley?
Is this the year? Maybe even this game?
