I’ve actually been going to post for awhile that I can see Lieb as our only returning player next year. I was only joking to myself though, but now I’m not so sure. And I mean no disrespect to BL.

The current line is IL -6.5. If I did online gambling, I'd take that for big bucks. Given the current offensive woes, I think that if IL wins, it will be by a hair.

Remember the Vegas trip? That was fun.

I have a feeling the fans that the players raved about then might not be as jovial and supportive on Saturday.
It was amazing and worth every penny and a couple of long miserable flights. That’s what makes the last couple of weeks so weird. Watching everything since Maryland has felt like…

Man, we used to have a corgi, and the worst day of my life was having him put to sleep. I stayed with him until the end…. trying to close his eyes, and they wouldn’t… And it’s shaping up to be just like this season. (Sorry, probably not what you meant with this post. Sorry).

Sorry friend. Losing a pet is like losing a family member. It’s awful.

I feel like we could win because all logic says otherwise and that’s the way sports works sometimes. plus not having Skyy might help us, no disrespect intended. He was hurting us defensively, had lost his shot and was generally disengaged. So more minutes for Ty, Epps and Harris should help. So i feel foolishly optimistic, but that feeling may be gone in 5 minutes of game time.
Ty is lost right now.

Can't put al of this on his shoulders. Hasn't practiced, will be tentative on his injured foot, is an off-the-ball offensive player. We need him, but can't expect a miracle.
Thank you for a small dose of reality. To wrote myself, there are no Messiahs in basketball

I wouldn’t be surprised to see us play better and still lose if MM is the player out. Our shooting has been so cold for the last month. Hopefully that changes today and we pound the ball inside to DD. I suppose by shoot around time we should know for sure who’s playing and who isn’t.

I wish I lived within manageable driving distance of C-U. I'd put aside what I desperately need to get done today in order to attend this game. These guys are The Beloved and they're struggling. They need butts in seats attached to vigorous lungs and lots of support. I'm confident they'll figure it out during January. I'll be at the bar at 1:30 ET with an Illini brother for the tip, clad in O&B and ready to cheer. Let's turn it around beginning this afternoon.

:illinois: :ah:

Unfortunately, I am 1100 miles away, and usually relegated to sitting in my recliner clad in orange and blue to watch the game on TV (at least we can see the games today - it wasn't so long ago we got to see the beloved once or twice a year if we were lucky).

But today, the Woman Who Let's Me Live With Her committed us to taking our four grandchildren (ages 7-13) to an entertainment spot for the afternoon, take them out to eat for dinner, incubate the little demons overnight, and then feed them and entertain them tomorrow morning and noon before returning them to their rightful guardians. I'll catch the game on recording tomorrow night, if I can stay awake past 7pm . . . 😋🤪

Priorities, my friend. Yours are apparently in proper order. And of course you're doing their parents an enormous favor. Holy work. Enjoy!

As a former resident of foreign climes on and off for years, I appreciate your comment regarding the luxury of being able to watch The Beloved regularly. I lived in Canada 2004-08. Because ESPN was banned there I was able to see the epic 2004-05 team only when one of the U.S. networks out of Detroit carried them. That remains a source of grief 18 years later.

I’m scratching my head at this line, which is up to +7 in most books. I dabble here and there…but this is one of those “run, don’t walk” to the teller window games.

7 points on Bovada. A pretty big spread for a Big 10 game. Wisconsin ranked in the Top 20 in many polls. Definitely a head scratcher.

lol, Hope you lose $$$.
I can't bet against my teams.
I don’t enjoy it. But that’s a ton of points against a good team for a Illini team that has been playing awful…regardless if if Wahl is out. Especially if Mayer (or whoever) was actually injured yesterday. I bet on Mississippi State in the bowl game also but I was still hollering and screaming for the boys in O&B to win

No students today, I believe. While the past couple weeks has been frustrating, this is part of what being a fan is about. Let’s all of us old farts in the seats make some (positive) noise and wake them from this funk!

I hear ya. I get to watch the first half before heading out to watch Grandson's soccer games today. Guess I'll watch the 2nd half later tonight.

The play has been so bad and disorganized, I've admittedly checked out to a degree. That said, I'm interested in what the rotation is going to be, and if BU can find a group that's committed to buying in and actually finishing a game. With Skyy out, that will put pressure on Epps, but from what I've seen, he can handle it. He'll make freshman mistakes, but I like his poise overall. I'm looking for moral victories at this point. If they're in it late, still fighting, and showing some passion and commitment, I'll keep watching.

Anyone want to guess what to rotation minutes will be today?
