All teams on a winning run. Let's hope Illinois ends their winning run as well.Ohio St: red=dead
Nebraska: red=dead
Wisconsin: red=
Just realized this may be the biggest national TV audience for @illinimbb since the 2005 final. The last/only nationally televised game of the regular season before they announce tourney seedings, with all eyes of the college basketball world glued to CBS. A huge opportunity to grow/solidify Illinois’ reputation nationally.
Shocked by the Ohio State all-time performance. For no reasons other than I was curious, bored and still juiced about today's win, here's some interesting stats regarding the B1G Tourney Championship Game history. Interesting because, even with the lean John Groce years, Illinois has been an overall top performer in the tournament.

You mean Havlicek and Lucas in the 60's.Shocked by the Ohio State all-time performance.
A tribute to Illinois-native Thad Matta (and his sister, who is an acquaintance here in South Carolina). OSU has never really been that good throughout my lifetime -- except for Thad's short-term dominance. Their entire basketball history is essentially two short spurts ---- (1) Oscar Robertson and then (2) Thad Matta 45-50 years later.
Did you ever see Don Freeman play?TSJ and Domask and it's not even close. I think there is a legitimate argument that this season of Shannon is the most dominant guard to ever play for the Illini.
lol. BTT Championship Game Appearances. Indiana - 1
The Big O and Cincy kept those OSU teams from taking three consecutive Nattys in 1960-62. Fred Taylor was one of the great, and criminally forgotten, coaches of the 20th century. Other than John Wooden's seven consecutive title game appearances 1967-73 no coach has appeared in three or more consecutive title games since Taylor did it.You mean Havlicek and Lucas in the 60's.
No reason to. The game is big but we will still get a good seed in the big dance win or lose. Just enjoy it!Guys I’m freaking out

maybe one is yet to be played? If we made 8 championship games, how do we have a 3-4 record?
What about 2021 BTT? Over time with Ohio State in the final.Just realized this may be the biggest national TV audience for @illinimbb since the 2005 final. The last/only nationally televised game of the regular season before they announce tourney seedings, with all eyes of the college basketball world glued to CBS. Those Ohioans all look alike. Or is that Iowans?Yes, I did. Wrong retro team in my haste.
Thanks!
There's no reason to freak out in the one. Wisconsin can go on a full game heater and it ends up being one of those games.Guys I’m freaking out
LOVE THIS and gonna miss these guys!! As fans, how can we not get fired up to root for #everydayguys like this. Winning is always great, but this kind of culture is something to be so proud of. FamILLy !!!
