Yeah. Very impressed with Quentin. He’ll struggle to stay in front of guys from time to time, but he plays with a lot of fire and effort. Shot is beautiful. Is aggressive & a lot stronger than he looks.
Will he? Keaton seemed to be all right.

He has the physicals to be a very good defender, and the care factor is thru the roof. The only thing me might struggle with is over-aggressiveness.

Keaton worked hard and was smart defensively just to keep things in check and not be a liability or simply hold his own… which he did better than most would have thought. Coleman has more natural ability and a very good motor. I do not see a let down in D from QC. From what I have seen I would expect QC to be able to hold his own… kid does play hard which is a damn good quality to work with!

Brad and his staff seem very intentional about the type of players they bring in. Coleman looks like he checks all of the boxes.
There is without question a profile that the staff wants in their recruits. The Wagler article by CJ Moore in The Athletic talked about that. Positional size, high basketball IQ, and shooting ability are big parts of that.

Is the full replay available online? I know highlights are already on here. My son had a soccer game last night, so wasn’t able to watch live.

Highlights certainly look fantastic. Hard to judge some things in a blowout, but random thoughts:
Gathered himself for the 3 when he knew the screen was there and he had the time
When he cleared the player on the move to the bucket (0:27 of the highlight clip) he took it strong to the basket for a dunk
Just looks dialed in and competitive. 15 rebounds is crazy.

Really impressed with what I saw from QC in the game last night. Not only is he exceptionally gifted, he plays with great effort. He might need to calm down a bit on defense, and let the game come to him a bit more on that end. I bit more handsy than he needs to be, and closes out a bit too aggressively, but you can't fault his effort..

Seeing him in a couple of these All-Star settings, he is a rare kid who is always trying to make the right play, rather than just trying to get his numbers. (clearly those just come)

One of my favorite moments won't make the highlights, but shows how smart he is and the type of leadership qualities he has...

One of the post players got in a scrum for a rebound and the Argentine kid fell down. The kid from USA came up with the rebound and after the whistle for a foul, fired the ball at the kid on the ground and kind of stood over him. Q quickly grabbed the teammate, pushed him away from the kid, and got in his ear.

That's a kid I want on my team.

Agree. Much easier to tell a kid “whoa” than to tell a kid “go!”

And who knows, defensively Brad and Cam may live with a little more gambling on defense next year if it leads to more turnovers/runouts. One way we can counteract our likely dropoff in half court offensive efficiency.

And offensively he was a few missed bunnies away from having a 20/15 game. Pretty impressive.

Said it before and again I don’t think it’s the hottest take, but wouldn’t shock me if by the end of the season he’s our best player.

I believe this was Michigan State commit Ethan Taylor. Continuing the legacy of good sportsmanship...
