Sorta. Regardless if you play 1 year or 2 years at a JC only counts as 1 year when transferring to a 4 year at least to a school in the NCAA not sure how the NAIA handles it. So say you play 2 years at a JC you still have 3 years of eligibility at a 4 year after transferring.
It may be possible to spin that answer a bit further if we assume that that three NAIA years might also be treated as only one NCAA year. That would make the current year his fourth year. I don't think he would qualify for a fifth "COVID year" since he was not in an NCAA program during the plague years.

I thought I had a clever argument that he could be eligible for another year, but that argument depends on NAIA counting as zero and not as one. I think I've just talked myself out of the whole idea.

I think this is pretty close to being accurate. Let me know of any mistakes.

I believe the 2026-2027 season is the Ivisic brothers' last year of eligibility. Tomi came over with 3 years of eligibility, and Big Z has already played 3 seasons of college basketball.

Thank you again for doing this!

Next year looks really thin, if Vaaks and Mirk decide on the NBA after this season. It is one reason that I am glad that the Freshman will need to contribute this year.

Blake Fagbemi is a practice player.
JJ has health problems with a blood clot, had a rib removed, and was on blood thinners the last article I can find.

That leaves us 5 returners that play, Vaaks, and the freshmen.

A little worrisome in regard to bigs. Both twins will be injured at some point. Hopefully not at the same time. Tomi will also be ill.

This is experience, not glass half empty.

Guarantees of injury and illness? Yeah, players get ill all the time and Tomi certainly has. Does that mean it's going to be one that prevents him from playing in a game (s) in the upcoming season?

Injured or hurt? Players play through pain/discomfort all the time, specifically Z this year. I'd guarantee they'll be banged up at points throughout the year. But injured that'll keep them out of practices or games, it's a strange thing to be confident in and one can't control. I always tell my kids even there's a big difference between injured and hurt. They manage to deal with it.

For the record, I'm just entertaining the conversation. My father often has similar views and we go back and forth. Not disagreeing they could use another body.

Go Illini

Grandpa how many players were added to last year's team? How about the year before? Unfortunately this is the new norm. BU has got it covered.

If you said 8 and 10 then you are correct.
