That is pretty, uh, interesting in light of the Nunn and Tate situation.

From what I understand, he wasn't going to be back until/unless found innocent of any wrongdoing. He's been cleared by the University, DIA, and Lovie, so I'm guessing he's been found innocent.

That improves the defense dramatically!!! So I'm projecting JU Jones strong side lb James Crawford weakside lb and tre Watson mike backer with dele Harding spelling Watson on passing downs

No repaired knee ligament is as strong as the original, so anyone who has one surgically repaired is more likely to injure it again. That's why it's such a tough injury to recover from, and why it ends so many careers.

Hoping it wasn't a full-blown re-injury, but given that it's the same knee, it wouldn't surprise me.

well at least Des Cain will be ready and experienced....so it'll be Hardee turner and Cain starting I'm guessing

Would love to see Crawford moved to SS. doesn't look like it's going to happen though

Me either. Hmm...I assume he was found innocent or the charges were dropped if he got cleared by the University and DIA, especially considering the Nunn & Tate charges

Charges have been or will be dropped. False accusations. Feel bad for a kid whose name was dragged through the mud on a national level.

I thought it was interesting hearing that this will be the first year Wes will be working out of a huddle in his college career. Nuts.

I love watching those DBs practicing that strip of the ball after they wrap up. That was something the bears were always so good at and it seems like Lovie has put an emphasis on it here too.

I am excited for this year. Not something I am used to

IMO, after having watched and played football for a long time, the keys to winning usually involve these 3 major criteria:

1) OL and DL play up front
2) Winning the turnover battle
3) QB play

and I thought it was scoring more points... :D

Seriously -- I agree with the above... and actually think there is a gap before #3... Lots of teams (especially in the pros) win without great QB play or QB's not playing well... sort of like this year's Super Bowl...

I am pretty sure the Doug Buffone's keys to winning every game was to 1) Run the Ball, 2) Stop the Run, 3) Win the turnover battle. So, pretty much 1 and 2. Eventually, I think he loosened up and realized that a team had to throw the ball occasionally.
