I didn't see, what happened to Carlos? Of course we would get another injury.
I can not stand Matheny. Seriously brings in Choate and he fails. Who was next? Broxton? Fail. Then Rosie. Fail. Double steal and Peralta strikes out and Bourjus gets thrown out. Fail.
Carlos Martinez out for the rest of the season with a shoulder strain:

I like the outfield of Heyward, Piscotty and Holliday. Pham would be a nice bat off the bench come playoff time and defensive sub at the end of ball games.
I think it should be Holliday, Grichuk, Heyward in the outfield with Piscotty at first. But we'll see how Grichuk and Adams finish the season. And of course that's assuming Grichuk gets his arm back.
Devastating. Absolutely devastating.
Not devastating, since Pittsburgh lost. Now, just win 2 in Pitt, rest those that are banged up, get at bats for those that need fine tuning and put pitchers on a pitch count of 80ish, so that they can "rest" without skipping time in the rotation.
Yes, devastating, at least to me, the way the game was lost. Also means the Cards really have to win at least one in Pittsburgh, which, frankly, I don't think will be easy. But, as you say, win two there and it's over.
