I didn't see, what happened to Carlos? Of course we would get another injury.

I can not stand Matheny. Seriously brings in Choate and he fails. Who was next? Broxton? Fail. Then Rosie. Fail. Double steal and Peralta strikes out and Bourjus gets thrown out. Fail.

How can you blame Rosie, double steal, Broxton, and peralta on Matheny??? He brought in Rosie at the right time, peralta MUST put the ball in play, and he can't help it one of the fastest guys in the league is a terrible base stealer. You can't blame him for Broxton as Garcia had the error. Broxton should have been unscathed that inning. Blame him for Choate; I and everyone else will agree with you on that.

But to blame him for some mishaps by the team, not him tonight is stupid. He's lead us to the best record in the league with a plethora of injuries, and he's gotten better by a lot this year.

Let's hope Matty Carp's hip is ok. They said he had to be persuaded to come out. We can't handle anymore to go down, hopefully his competitive nature isn't in the way on this. They say he will be in the line-up today.

Good to see Holliday with a couple of doubles yesterday.

I like the outfield of Heyward, Piscotty and Holliday. Pham would be a nice bat off the bench come playoff time and defensive sub at the end of ball games.

I think it should be Holliday, Grichuk, Heyward in the outfield with Piscotty at first. But we'll see how Grichuk and Adams finish the season. And of course that's assuming Grichuk gets his arm back.

Yea, I do like that better, but you nailed it with Grichuk.

Wow what happened? Once the Cards went up 3-1 I switched it over to the Bears game. All the sudden it's 8-3. The Cubs really need to do something tonight.

Devastating. Absolutely devastating.

Not devastating, since Pittsburgh lost. Now, just win 2 in Pitt, rest those that are banged up, get at bats for those that need fine tuning and put pitchers on a pitch count of 80ish, so that they can "rest" without skipping time in the rotation.

Yes, devastating, at least to me, the way the game was lost, although less so since the Pirates lost. But it still means the Cards almost have to win at least one in Pittsburgh, which, frankly, I don't think will be easy. But, as you say, win two there and it's over.

I was upset when I saw the change in score yesterday (was not watching live obviously). It would send a strong message to end it and party in Pittsburgh though!

Agree with this. It was devastating. Had that game won, then gave up a crooked number in the 9th. If we win one, were still up by 2 with 3 to go. Just win one, baby.

Just got home and turned the game on, from the beginning. I'm not real thrilled with Moss starting. He may be 7-11 in his career vs Happ, but he has also sucked this year. It's things like this that really frustrate me with Matheny. It's the most important game of the year and both Grichuk and Pham are on the bench.
