Nevermind I got fooled. It's a parody Twitter account. Doh!
Fake account. They're out in full force today.
I definitely got fooled. At first glance I saw the ESPN, but it's E5PN
Happens to everybody! As a Cubs fan I think I would've been happy with a 10/300 contract for STL
So, if the Cards miss on Heyward, do they go for a power hitting first baseman?
11:52am: Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports tweets that the Cardinals are “out” on Heyward.
Well, sad to see him go, but happy we aren't going to be paying him 200 mil+. His numbers offensively could spike on the north side, because he will just have to play ball up there not be a huge focal point of their offense.
Let's prepare our offer for Alex Gordon and maybe see what we could do for Cargo.
Not gonna ride the hyperbole train and say that the Cubs put a dagger to the Cards, but the Heyward move hurts, right? Will be interesting to see how the Cards counter.
Wow. This is a real nutpunch. Losing Lackey to the Cubs I could handle. This, though? This. Is. Bad.
None of the other FAs out there really excite me other than Upton.
And if anyone thinks Alex Gordon is the answer, well, you're more optimistic than I.
Hope the Cubs rediscover their epic collapsing ways, but I don't think that's as likely with Theo at the helm.
Gonna be a long 4 years.
Worst offseason we've had in a while.
That's really impossible to say until at least a couple months of baseball have been played. Remember who won the offseason last year? The San Diego Padres.
And I think it's important to remember the Cubs basically gave us 2 draft picks for Heyward and Lackey. And if there is one thing I trust about this organization, it's their ability to find and develop talent.
Draft picks are a total crapshoot and, more importantly, take a long time to help. Which is why the Blackhawks did great to with their 11:50 trade of Saad.

Well, we are obviously way better at scouting, drafting and developing than free agency. That is the main reason we have had long term viable success and I don't think that changes. You are right it is a crapshoot, but that has been our money maker.
