I didn't see it in the Elbirdos story. Then again I didn't read the whole thing. Sorry if this is a duplication.
Cardinals’ Lars Nootbaar just filed for the perfect trademark

If you’re hungry, have a Snickers. If you’re in need of a game-saving catch, have a Nootbaar.

Nootbaar, who has the perfect name for a candy bar, is owning the moment. He has filed multiple trademark applications claiming that he will sell NOOTBAAR-branded energy bars, according to Josh Gerben of Gerben Law, who adds that Nootbaar has also filed a trademark application for “NOOOOOOT.”

There are endless possibilities for a potential candy bar name, with Nootbaar’s Nootbar being among them, though he is not believed to have settled on a name yet. Regardless, after his home run-saving catch Wednesday night, Cardinals fans are sure to flock to the shelves whenever the candy bar is released.

I was on GameDay, hadn't watched any of game, just kept looking occasionally to see score updates. Saw game was 2-1 and O'Neil had 1-0 count so I thought what the hell, let's see what happens. It was great.

Wait until you see the two pitches he struck out on. They were both so far outside. Several were called that way tonight.

Didn’t see it live but heard the call on the radio. John and Mike were not shy about their feelings about the Ump. They were beside themselves!

Couzy (sp) is a pathetic ump on a par with CJ Buckner as far as not knowing the strike zone......I found a place where I can watch the games now and i have watched the last 3 games in full.........being a life long Cards fan I find it refreshing to see where they are now compared to a ,month ago when me and my 92 year old dad had given up on their playoff hopes.......

The last strikeout call on O'Neill was awful and DM and RH were saying the cards bench was yelling at Tyler to come back to thew dugout before he got thrown out ....Sure glad he listened to them....If anyone is having trouble watching their games , send me a PM and I will give you the site I have been watching on.....HD picture is amazing....

I just read through all the comments on vivaelbirdos.com so I am aware about the strike zone. And O'Neil definitely gets screwed by umps more than other players. I am all for robo umps now tho. The HP umpire should not effect the damn game the way they do.

And it is probably best I keep doing as I am with the games, not completely following as it is causing me so much less stress right now. 😅

I really hate to admit it. I've been a traditionalist for 60 years but it's MLB that has walked away from our traditions so often I don't mind giving up on a few of them too. Robo ump and the DH should be used next season. Put guys like Angel Hernandez etal out of a job.

I also don't watch the whole game. It's too frustrating. Tonight I tuned in in the top of the 8th.

It was fun watching the whole game last night. They interviewed some of the 2011 players. Some have aged, like Lance Berkman. They still give Jim Hayes grief. Edman made two great defensive plays. The San Diego manager got tossed for arguing strike 3 called on Tatis, which was in the K zone.

It's kind of sad. After he got hit with the ball I didn't expect him to come back. He did. When he flirted with a no hitter in Cincy he really got my attention. unfortunately that was about as good as it would get.

MLB Trade rumors

The Cardinals announced Monday that they’ve designated right-hander Daniel Ponce de Leon for assignment. His spot on the roster will go to lefty Brandon Waddell, who has been recalled from Triple-A Memphis.

The Cardinals will place Ponce de Leon on outright waivers or release him within the next couple of days. It’s possible that given his 2018-19 success, another club in need of some depth would take a speculative look via waiver claim. However, Ponce de Leon is also out of minor league options, so any club that picks him up won’t have the luxury of sending him to the minors unless they can successfully pass him through waivers themselves.
