Big series this weekend in St. Louis. I'm sure it's purely no coincidence that they're doing the reunion of the '82 World Series team this weekend too.
Carlson and O’Neill both in funks right now.JMHO , I don't think Carlson is the answer as far as leading off for the Cardinals....His OBP is not ideal for that position and I think he would be better served hitting 6th or 7th until he raises that number up some......
Edman is in a downturn as far as production and I guess if Nooooooobaar is gonna be the primary starter in right field then I would lead off with him as they had been doing the last 4-5 games........
Montgomery could be the steal of the trade deadline.....
Will come down to these guys showing up on the road when we make it to the playoffs
Home record 36-20
Away record 26-30
Not a Cardinal question, but why does Tatis suspension start now and not wait until he is ready to play?
Has nothing to do you with Cardinals, or an answer to your question, but I find this whole Tatis thing fascinating in that I can't recall a player of Tatis' stature getting busted at such an early stage in his career. I really wonder what impact it's going to have on his career. He was a HOF potential guy. Will his career implode? Can he come back after his suspension and just pick up where he left off? If he does go on to have a great, HoF caliber career, and never gets busted again, will people be willing to look past this? Or will he end up in the same situation as guys like Bonds/Clemens/McGwire?Not a Cardinal question, but why does Tatis suspension start now and not wait until he is ready to play?
I don't know if he is injured, I just think his stuff doesn't play. His stuff is flat or hanging and often times elevated.Don't know about you guys, but I am done with Gio. Like I said earlier this year, I think he is injured.
I thought that triple should have been caught. We will never know, but Noot would probably have caught it.Cardinals notebook: Corey Dickerson scratched because of calf injury, returns to field

Corey Dickerson, four for eight against Milwaukee ace right-hander Corbin Burnes and a .370 hitter since the All-Star break, was in the Cardinals’ lineup hitting second Saturday night at Busch Stadium. Until he wasn’t.
Dickerson left the clubhouse in street clothes before the game, presumably to have an examination pertaining to the recurrence of a left calf injury that had landed him on the injured list in June.
Brendan Donovan took the start in left field with slumping Tyler O’Neill taking a seat on the bench. But Dickerson was able to return for the game and was sent in as a defensive replacement in the ninth inning.
There is the possibility that right-handed-hitting Juan Yepez, who is at Memphis on injury rehab option for a right forearm strain, could return next week but manager Oliver Marmol said that would be both health and performance related. Yepez was to play the outfield for six innings on Saturday night and at least that long on Sunday but Marmol also wants to see if Yepez can shake the recurring habit of his pulling off the ball and flying open while at bat.

So , he leaves in street clothes to get examined and then is in right field for the decisive play that was Renfro's triple and couldn't reach it.....yep.....ok...
I guess my thought is TON pinch hit in the 9th , why not put him in left and move Donovan to right field.....I got up late this morning and haven't read the comments section on these 3 articles , so bear with me .....
