I agree completely.........Time to go upstairs and watch the NBA finals game or hockey game, whichever is on........

I still think if Cardinals are in last place at the All star break them Marmol gets canned.................JMHO
Unfortunately, he is just another stooge/yes man for Mo. Schildt disagreed and GONE. Thou shalt not disagree with the spreadsheets.

I concur with some of the last comments. Is rough to watch but we have also been spoiled for many years. Hate to see injuries for any team but this is the year to have them if we are going to be down.

I would love to see the Cardinals trade some pieces away. If Cardinals aren't going to re-sign Montgomery or Flaherty might as well see if we can get something for them...not saying big return but something instead of nothing. Trade DeJong away or still think he is getting cut after this season. All of the guys mentioned are free agents after this season(except DeJong) and Hicks is a FA also. Hicks in the back of his mind thinks he is a starting pitcher.

I do like that we have options. I don't think we have to tear this thing down for 2024 but will see what happens.

I would have fired him already. I don't understand a lot of his decisions. Plus, and probably the most significant issue, I think he lost the locker room. The vibe has been off from day 1 of this season. After several of our guys rocked in the WBC, I thought we'd come into the season swinging and playing great baseball. It has been anything but. Marmol constantly puts the team in a position to make mistakes. I understand he can't swing a bat or throw a pitch, but it all seems soo fumbled.

I miss Skip. I wish he were the manager and Holiday was the bench coach. That would be exciting.

Agreed. There's something seriously wrong with this team. The only single step at this point that MIGHT significantly help would be to replace the manager.

Can't miss your closer if you never have to use him:

Do not disagree. However, the same guy who hired and fired Matheny, Schildt, and potentially Marmol will be hiring the 4th replacement for LaRussa.

As of last night, I believe we are sellers. I would even entertain a Goldschmidt trade for highly regarded pitching prospects. He's 35 years old and we will probably only get a couple more years of good Goldy.

Another day , another crappy start to a Cardinals BB game........................Giants score 2 in the top of the 1st and only a double play grounder saved it from being a big inning.............

First 3 Cardinals up in bottom of the first are K's.........................can't make this crap up....................

Cardinals are a mediocre team playing abysmally poor baseball............

I wish I cared. I have tried but I don't. Not any more. Not for awhile. I used to go to a game every year. It's a 4 hour trip so my wife and I would plan a weekend getaway around a game or two. After my son moved away he and I would take a trip to watch them in other cities. We haven't done it in several years. COVID, having kids or at least his wife having them and his changing jobs a few times are all factors but there has not been a burning desire for either of us to get out and back in a day to another city. Maybe it's being spoiled but not so. In over 60 years I have watched many average Cardinal teams. I have watched many good teams lose games. I find it difficult to watch a team that looks like they are going through the motions.

Good post bro.....................

While I was doing some kitchen clean up I heard the call on Edman's Grand Slam........Got back into the living room to see the replay...........
My first thought after it sunk in that they got the lead , was I hope the bullpen can hold the lead.............I have no confidence in anything going on on the field with the Cardinals........But , I'll try my best to watch the games for a while longer............

JMHO

Walker just got a single and RBI hit.............................Cardinals up 5-2.........bottom of the 3rd.............Medded up and hoping for a big victory today !
