THATS A WINNER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cardinals hang on and beat the Orioles 1-0................

Drew Rom gets his first MLB career win
Palacios with a homer (3rd in 2 games) for the only run scored
Bullpen with another strong performance
Helsley with another save......
I believe that's 3 straight series wins on the road...........

Oh , what COULD have been.....

There is zero reason for TON to be on this team next year. He is at best 7th on the outfield depth chart

They showed the cardinals record in 1 run games. It was almost the exact opposite of Baltimore. Go back and look at all the games they blew late leads. As mentioned above, what might have been.

Great pitching tonight.

Seriously , I feel the same as you.....Motter gave the Cardinals a distinctive slo-pitch softball team look...............

i agree, except carlson is hurt, burleson is a negative in the field, nootbar is just back from injury and we have to play edman
there because were short on outfielders right now. i hoped we'd trade him at the deadline. we needed to showcase him and/or
Carlson to Seattle to reap some of their pitching. so much for that idea.

What would O'Neill bring back in trade value? He has missed more than 63 games this year. He has had only one season where he played in more than 100 games. Last year was he played in 96. He hit 34 homeruns with 80 something RBI's in 2021. He has not been able to match those stats since or before. I think he has a total of 23 homers in the last 2 years. He is part of an outfield that lacks punch and is too often injured. The outfield of O'Neill, Bader, and Carlson was just a fleeting mirage floated by ownership and the front office that many of us bought on face value.

Of course Mozeliak will say they like this group while they trot out their sub-standard pitching staff.

Another typical Cardinals performance at the plate. 6 hits, 8 walks and only 1 run produced. Another 0-fer with runners in scoring position.

THATS A WINNER !!!!!!!!!!!!

Cardinals beat the Brewers 1-0 and Waino gets his 200th win !!!!!!

Contreras with the only run on a rope HR...................

Best start of the year by far for Waino..........
King got another important DP in the top of the 8th......seems like he gets one every appearance
Helsley with another closeout 9th........wish he had had better health this year..................

In the 6th inning I told my wife that I wish Waino would go 9 and get the complete game shutout. It would be like "For Love of the Game" except for giving up a few base hits.
