When they walked Walker I told my wife they will get a double. When I saw Fermin was at the plate I said, "Oh No." A fraction of a second later the ball was headed for the left field corner.

I got engrossed in the NHL playoffs and missed last nights game and what a game it was.......Pirates had a perfect game going on until speedy Burleson got that screaming infield base hit......lol......

I watched the highlights after I saw the final score but I would have reacted the same way if I was watching live and Fermin was coming to the plate........great comeback and we have a budding superstar in J J Wetherholt.....we really really do............

15-13...............3 GB of Reds..............all NL Central teams still above .500...........wow...........really really wow.....

Interesting that the cubs won 10 games in a row and they are only 1.5 games ahead of the Cardinals.

I watched the highlights again this morning and it was music to my ears hearing the loud sounds of the Cardinals barreling up on their swings yesterday , especially Burleson , Walker and Gorman.....those 3 need to continue making hard contact and driving in runs...............would love to see J J run away with the NL ROTY award this season.....I really really would...............

The offense, defense, and starters have been good enough so far to produce a winning record. The middle relief has been a disaster. Graceffo has been effective, Soriano has been mostly okay. Stanek, Bruihl, and Svanson have been brutal. I cringe every time one of them comes into the game cause I know the scoreboard is likely to change. Unsustainable. They will get chances to right their ship for a while yet but at some point the Memphis shuttle will take place if they can't.

Hunter Dobbins makes his Cardinals debut in todays 11:15 am start against the Pirates as the Cardinals go for the 4 game sweep on the road....................

In five rehab starts, Dobbins went 3-0 with a 4.37 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 22 2/3 innings.

Stanek has the stuff to be an adequate BP guy but has major control issues which puts the team at risk if he comes into a close game situation.........Svanson is puzzling as he had been good last year but had that one bad game where Oli left him in way to long and his confidence is low right now....his sinker is missing the corners and batters are sitting on his 4 seamer.........he has good natural movement on all his pitches and I expect he will get straightened out soon..............Bruihl is terrible and should be DFA ASAP.......waste of a 40 man roster spot IMO............

seems like the Cardinals take longer to promote from within as evidenced by McGreevy and Graceffo timelines and really unfortunate high amount of pitcher injuries on the Farm.......too numerous to name here but all Cardinals fan's are aware of.............
