Happy Excuse Me GIF

that's sad to hear if true- article states he was also charged with "impeding breath circulation" which would imply some sort of choking.

3rd degree felony charge. If allegations are true, he's done.

Don't assume too much about the integrity of any collegiate sports institution.
just crazy

well, he's done at Texas. Im not saying he wont ever coach again , but its going to be a pretty long road back to him ever getting a chance at a head coaching job again.

I mean, If he cant control his emotions inside his home, how can anyone trust him at work ?

just wow

Yeah, this doesn’t look good at all.

But as always, arrested does not equal guilty. Let’s see where this goes.

With domestic stuff though, where there’s smoke there’s (often) fire.

Hopefully the alleged victim didn’t get hurt too badly no matter what comes of it.

I fully realize that in the court of law, you are innocent until proven guilty

but we all know that in the court of public opinion , he's screwed already with regards to his job at UT.

Yikes... I guess it depends on what the cops observed. Sometimes, the complainant's opinion doesn't matter.
I've seen this play out in the criminal justice system before, and it is legitimately sad how often domestic abuse victims refuse to pursue criminal charges. Charges dropped under these circumstances often does not mean the accused didn't do it.

Not passing judgment one way or the other on Beard, just commenting on the particularly tricky nature of domestic abuse and violence.

99% of the time, when cops get called to a domestic situation, someone is getting arrested. Often just based on the cops observations. The spouse or family member having second thoughts about it all, often doesnt matter

he may be 'not guilty' legally, but hes screwed right now

To add to your point: Many states require some sort of action in domestic disturbances like this. At the very least a 72 hour " cooling off" period is required. (Had a friend get picked up in Colorado a few years ago based on what next door neighbors heard, nothing was even seen)
