A lawyer's favorite question - were you lying then or are you lying now?

Was she lying when she telephoned the police (doubtful - given the police report referencing the physical injuries). It is difficult to bite yourself on the arm, etc.

Or she is lying now to protect a bad guy? Much more likely Maybe they worked out a deal for him to give her money in return for retracting the allegation before a criminal case was filed.
Why is it difficult to bite your own arm. I used to do it all the time in grade school. I thought the teeth imprints were cool. The key was biting hard enough to live imprints without making it hurt. Really a delicate science bordering on art.

But nowadays, it can be proven if you bit yourself or not.

Hes not going to be able to coach for them anymore
This is all about him trying to get a more favorable termination agreement with UT, as their " termination with cause " argument loses if charges get dropped .

It is. But it's also a different world than it was a decade ago. Not many people more powerful than Harvey Weinstein, as an example.

I don't have a sense of what exactly might happen in a place like Austin when power meets progress.

My guess is that Beard’s legal problems will quietly go away as the DA will say it’s difficult to win a case when the alleged victim won’t cooperate. His job as head basketball coach at Texas will disappear as well, given that the University has an iron clad out in his contract. Beard will resurface at a smaller school desperate for wins.

Ah Louisville.

This is a completely separate claim from your prior statement, and it sounds like you probably don't actually need me to point out the difference for you.
True, but in the end, I’m just saying the bite can be used.

But then again, I really don’t give a sh!t.

Just hope that an abuser and the abused get and deserve justice.

Jokes on you, I don't have any grandchildren. This board is clearly impressed. I would tell them about another grade school triumph, pulling out the color from a marker and putting it in your Elmer's glue to change the color, but it might blow their minds.
As long as we're on this subject. Raised my oldest son right. He stuck a paperclip in an outlet just to see what it would do. Went to pick him up at the principal's office and he was surrounded by a gaggle of girls oohing and aahing over the burn marks on his fingers.

I did that..... twice lol. I have no idea what I was thinking the second time. I also got my head stuck in the slats on a rocking chair, licked a razor blade (bad decision), and jumped off the roof with an umbrella... playing paratrooper. God only knows how I survived. We winnowed out the weak back then I guess.
