Others opinions on the contrast of the orange helmet against the orange jersey once you saw it live? I may be wrong but it looked like there could be an ugly contrast of those two colors during a noon or night game. Maybe it was just the lighting during the ceremony, or maybe I am going blind?

To those sitting in the audience: could you see the "grange" stripes on the football jerseys clearly?

We aren't locked in to those combinations. The helmets, jerseys, and pants are suppose to be interchangeable according to that Nike guy in one of the promo vids.

I liked em, didnt love em. I love these. I want 2 more options though. A grey one and a throwback orange one with fighting illini on em.

The uniforms are the least permanent part of this whole thing and he clearly layed out Fighting Illini as a wordmark. Even if we don't get it on the first go around it'll be seamless to add in later iterations.

I think the 2 tone letters will look pretty good on grey. I already think they look good on the white.

Throwback orange with Fighting Illini with a little less short. They start at the belly button and go to mid shin man lol and im far from a prude or whatever you call it. Im 33 and white and i listen to old school stuff but I know who Sosa, Reese, Durk, Lil Bibby are. I rock that drill scene in Chicago. All the youngsters are wearing tighter clothes these days. This is gonna take some getting used to.

I think the only one it should be done on is white. I personally like it on white. I wouldn't like it if it was on the blue and orange jerseys

I cant get over that shirt, man its sharp. I love the shield, and that color combo on the shirt is perfect #believeintheshield

Love the white football uniforms. Look really good.

Not sure I like the zig-zag up the shorts AND the jersey.

Don't mind the two-tone font. Kind of like it actually.

Really wish they would've modeled the silver hoops jersey. Wanted to see what it looked like outside of a studio photo

Absolutely love the chief homage on the basketball unis.

Those white football uniforms are the best uniforms of any released but I like them all.

After seeing Robert's tweet with Beckman's hand in it (LOL) I think anyone worrying about not getting a Fighting Illini on a jersey can calm down. They aren't putting that into the program without the intention of using it.

I agree i like my shorts baggy, but dang those are way to big. It looks better with shorts that go just past knees.

I'd still like to see what it'd look like with a blue block I on it, but that 'anodized' orange helmet is sexy! I hope we stick to it and the white helmet. The blue one looks awesome up close and sitting still, but I'm worried about how it'd look on the field, with the sun/lights shining off of it.

I still think that white basketball jersey would look 10x better with orange numbers instead of blue, but that's my only complaint for those. And I really wish the numbers on the baseball jerseys were on the left side (under the last half of 'Illinois'). Maybe it's just because that's what I'm so accustomed to, but I think that simple tweak drastically improves them.

Overall, still very pleased. Definitely very disappointed that the word "Fighting" is still M.I.A. on the jerseys though. I really wanted "Fighting Illini" as the primary word mark for basketball, especially after the way it was played up. But since we have coaches saying there's more to come, I'll still keep my hopes up for that, although it probably wouldn't be used as much as I want.

Didn't see any pics, but someone tweeted that the players were swapping helmets around so they could see how they looked.

Regarding the victory shield logo, I think it looks great as a small accent on the uniforms -- the collar on football jerseys, belt buckle for basketball. But I don't think it works at all as a large logo on a t-shirt. It just doesn't make sense on its own as the central focus.
