This isn't an answer, but on a related note, I heard Tupper on the radio the other day and he said the photos don't do the orange helmet justice.

it is a bit hard to tell. orange is definitely metallic and at the same time not a gloss finish. see link. dunno how to paste into this. i think all the background base helmet colors are matte finishes that the metallic orange is intended to pop off the background. its definitely about the orange.

That's what I was guessing. I bet when they're outside in the bright sunshine they are going to look killer.
That's what I thought by looking at the pictures, but just wasn't sure.

After a few days, the shield still isn't growing on me....but as much as I don't care for it right now, it is perfectly fine with me if a few people here want to play with the idea design-wise. Let them have some fun with it! I am pretty sure no one here imagines Nike is going to lift any suggestions from this board.
Agreed - I was very happy when The UPS guy dropped off the box of new Illini gear at my office today!

The whole +1 thing really died off this last year. Used to be really common.
Yeah. It's kinda like if someone, prior to the unveiling of the rebrand, declared that they already pre-hated it because based on inside info they KNEW it was going to be a mere minor tweak and a wasted opportunity. And then, after the unveiling of something completely new and original, changed the "minor tweak" rationale for hating it but hated it just the same. I see the problem all right.
My dri fit t shirt fit a little small. Short in the midrift area, not unwearable, just a little short. Just something to consider for any of you who might be borderline between sizes.

How big are you and what size did you get?
6'3" 180 lbs. I ordered a large. I have an older size large illinois dri fit that fits me fine. I know another poster here pm'ed me and had a similar issue.
