I really do think we should wear these 50 Shades Of Gray every game until we can get a conference win. Let's earn the colors back!

Also, I saw this mentioned somewhere else, but why can Nike make these grey unis but not the blue? That is really our best look. Not having these blue unis this year is a pretty upsetting slip up, just like the wrong logo at midfield, just like not selling the #77 jerseys. Loved the grey though, very sharp.

Grey unis do not make or break an athletics department, but these slip ups do I think. This wasn't a rushed process, it went on for at least 18 months.

The helmets were great looking, wish they used a little more of that blue in the uniform.

Kind of gets me excited for special B-Ball unis as well. I know Groce mentioned they had more up their sleeve. Which game though??? Mizzou? United Center?

It's got to be one of the two. I have to think the Braggin' Rights game is the one. The only other option I could think of as a possibility would be for when we make the NCAA tourney. :thumb:

The absence of color for a team that has a history of orange and blue was not appealing. If this was their normal home uniform and they pulled out the orange and blue for homecoming everyone would be begging for color over blandness.

For the heck of it I'd like to see how bland this site would be if Dan got rid of the orange and blue and replaced all color with grey.

I was pretty ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ about the grays but it kind of highlighted the ridiculousness of not having an entire set of uniforms that are actually in one of our school colors.

Still amazes me the only complaints I've seen are from Illinois fans. But, as I've said 100 times we are Illinois fans, whine and complain is what we do. Oh well. :noidea:

Same here. I was hoping they'd look good on the field, but they didn't, so here's hoping we never see them again.

We're loyal to you, Illinois

Loved the grey uni's. Glad I reserved judgment until seeing them in action.

Let's be honest. How many fans of others schools are going to notice or care? It we were Ohio State, there would probably be a lot more response.

I'm the kind of nerd who notices when other teams change their uniforms.

Ours has been one of the better Nike rebrand jobs of recent years, IMO.

We are nerds together Second, I always notice. For a change I thought they were great.

I also think something to remember is they were a tribute uniform to Red Grange, brings attention to history. So they weren't just alternates like most.
