I think the spring apparel line comes out some time in the next few weeks, probably right after the ncaa tournament is done.
I have a daughter at Maryland and a son heading there next week. Looking at their stock, it was fully stocked including sizes other than small and XXXL. Much nicer products too.

I was on campus recently. It's a joke how little up-to-date stuff is available for purchase at places like TIS and Gameday.

Happened to be out at Parkland today. Their bookstore is better stocked with gear than either of the two Illini stores mentioned above.

You can't compare the selection of Illinois gear to Maryland. Maryland is sponsored by Under Armour, whose founder is also an alumni of Maryland. The relationship is like what Oregon has with Phil Knight. Would you expect Illinois to have as big of a selection of Nike gear as Oregon? Of course not.

Most of the stock that they have is what's left from the fall. A lot of gear sold out during the first few weeks of basketball and hasn't been restocked. I'm guessing they get new apparel like once in the spring and then again closer to bball season.

I absolutely would. The failure to stock items in sizes beyond small and XXXL has nothing to do with the founder of Nike and all the other brands not being an Illinois Alum. That makes absolutely no sense at all. FYI, the Maryland gear that is non UA, which there are probably more items than UA items, are just as in stock as the UA items. It has nothing to do with the founder of the firm that I can see.

FYI, since I can't sleep, I did a little checking on the ASU site since they are a Nike school that rebranded about the same time UIUC did and is not a glamour school. In general, much better selection on all gear other than Nike polo shirts. I'll let those that know the retail business to offer their thoughts as to why this is.

For me, I like the quality/design of the UA product much better than Nike. Adidas could close their doors tomorrow and I wouldn't notice.

To add to this, it makes even less sense since Phyllis Wise is part of Nike's Board of Directors.

I forgot about that. Good point.

I did buy a Chief logo shirt the other day. Have to seize the moment whenever I can.

Thanks. So three years from now, we should have better selection. Good news.

They were pre-rebrand jerseys, but the Illinois grey baseball jerseys against Northwestern today looked really good

What?!?! No Black Knight? I seriously doubt they can top that.

I wonder what they will do. I really like a lot of the service academy uniforms. (Being an AF grad I'm biased to theirs) But I think the military related uniforms look great.

Same here, former Navy, but I like all the military unis. Wasn't as high on Navy's update last year (don't like the 'motorcycle' helmet) but it was still cool.

Well confirmed they are now the Cadets, replacing black knights. And rumors are they are going back to a Mule logo/mascot. They already have the mule as the mascot, but something of an updated/modern take on this logo perhaps.

Putting their rank on the uni's was one of the coolest features I've seen in awhile.
