That's pathetic!! :tsk:

I should add that there was a similar pair of women's shorts and shirt behind this rack (you can kind of see it in the background of the picture), but that was it for the entire two-story store.

I asked an associate about the lack of Illinois apparel, specifically rebrand apparel, and he looked at me like I was crazy. "Illinois?" He had no clue what I was referring to. So I asked him to grab the manager for me, he said he would, and he nor the manager ever showed up. Waited there for like 15 minutes to talk to the guy. I guess if you want Nike Illini apparel, stick to the local GameDay Spirit store or maybe Dick's Sporting Goods. Oh well. :tsk:

Be on the lookout for #Illini billboards popping up around #Chambana in the coming days!

Nike just put out some new stuff on the site. If it matters. Pretty basic. Sideline Polo is usually pretty nice.

I went to the Nike store up in Chicago this past week, and was thoroughly disappointed with their Illini selection. I get it, it's Chicago not Champaign, but I snapped a pic of their ENTIRE Illinois clothing section while I was there. Just this one rack. That's it. One pair of orange shorts in every size and one shirt in every size. Neither item was from the rebrand, either.

That's actually an increase in Illini merchandise. Last time I was there there wasn't a single Illini item and a whole section devoted to Michigan State and Ohio State.

Chicago Niketown is Ground Zero of "The Problem With Illinois Athletics". I would absolutely make this an issue in the contract renewal discussions.

Completely agree! I know Chicago is a hub for Big Ten Schools but clearly the school with the biggest alum population is Illinois. There is no reason there shouldn't be more :shield: in the Niketown store.

it appears there are new navy volleyball jerseys that are different in design than the uniforms from last year. If there are no new jerseys in other colors, it's as frustrating to me as the grey basketball jerseys being a different style than the rest.

It's all about consistency, remember? j/k lol

Nike WeekZero shoes "... feature the color schemes and logos of some of the brand’s most important college football programs."

I love when Nike puts us Illinois fans in our place, just like the Nike Dri-Fit basketball jerseys a few years back, we were part of the second wave of Nike schools to get the updated jerseys.

(yes, I know Nike did not write the article, but you get the point)

Other Nike B1G teams that don't get the shoes... Iowa, Minnesota, Purdue, and Rutgers.

When you go to the Nike website and go to their collegiate fan shop they have a big banner that pops up that says "Nike's Teams" and has this below it:

Not to keep piling on here, but it does seem kind of strange that Nike is not at all promoting a team that they just rebranded a year ago. I mean you have to DIG on the Nike website to find any kind of an Illini advertisement/product... They clearly don't value Illinois like some may think they do.

Well when you look at those programs, I'm not sure Illinois has done anything above any them athletically in a while now. Miami, which has similar results lately, isn't in that list either.

For Illini gear, go to Cracker Barrel!!!

I say we make out a new branding contract with Cracker Barrel, we can have alternate "barrel unis" and this guy can be our new mascot:

To be clear, this is the football fan shop page on their site. Uconn? Syracuse? Oregon State? Kentucky? Washington State? I get what you're saying, I just think the Illini should be on that list too. But I'm biased :D

How much worse are we than Oregon St or Washington St?

Edit: Trevdv beat me to it.
