Blue may not be bad but I'm a big fan of the white helmets. Don't like the shiny orange, it doesn't match

Yeah ... So our latest rebrand sucks eggs ... A sad artsy, off color, non traditional orange and blue color scheme ... With a very lame shield thing logo ... But that is what we are stuck with for now ... Until the next hopefully way more imaginative re brand ... So sit back and try to pretend to like it until then ... Yes?

My white shield hat still looks sharp as heck, and the font is good as long as it doesn't try to draw attention to its components which are meant to be subtle.
The BEST thing we got was some truly slick jerseys that (thankfully!) did not compromise on color.
i agree they should rid the metallic orange i wouldnt mind the chrome orange though....

This in itself shows why the rebrand isnt a success. The fact that their is a lack of consistency from the jerseys, to the logos, to the buses is absurd. Especially when Nike preached consistency. And a font being good "as long as it doesnt" is not a recipe for success.

I mean i think that bus kind of illustrates my point, but I think the "new" orange (which granted, orange is a hard color to print) fails to account for the variety of uses across the board, and I think there is a huge inconsistency in it. Such as the jerseys to the logos to the fields, buses, products, etc. And it drives me crazy.

My dream is a futuristic faux-back to the Grange Era... (Deep navy uniforms with neon orange stripes)... hopefully we get osmething like that one day.
We should have the blue's this year... and I wonder if we see the Grey's again?
related side note, unless we have something special cooked up, if we don't wear Bear colors (Blue lids, blue shirts, white pants) against Northwestern I want the entire DIA fired on the spot.
No thanks. Id like to never see the white pants again with anything other than the white jerseys.

see, after the spring game I think I decided that White/Blue/White was possibly the best of our uniform combinations... love it (obviously the actual game blues are going to be a bit more dressed up)
I really do think for the Soldier Field game we need to play up the tie-in to the Bears.
I am really eager to see a traditional Orange/Blue/Orange soon though.

its sad too, because this is a nice clean look.
But yes, too PSU. Something tells me we will still wear it though. Im not sure the coaching staff is too aware of how we look compared to anyone else.

Poor shield turnout for Illini Night at a recent Sox game. I can only speak for myself but I will likely never buy any shield merchandise. It has been the worst part of the rebrand aside from the increased usage of the reddish orange color.
