Are there really two buses, or is it orange on one side and blue on the other? 
I can see the 262 on the orange passenger side but can't read the number on the blue drivers side. :noidea:

There are actually 4 buses (or at least there will be) - 2 orange and 2 blue:

Just saw on twitter (per @illiniwad) that Jerseys available to purchase this year will be Orange, Blue, and White. #77, #50, #15 (2015), and #1 (the teams goal). No grays due to low sales last year, and no current player numbers b/c of the obannon ruling.
Not sure when they'll be available, but I hope they look better than the replica ones they sold last year

Interesting they offer #15, even though it is for the year as you say and not a player. Unless a number is retired, I would think a school would avoid all current numbers.
Some schools don't have retired numbers.
So long as it's not always your two star players every year, I think it is kosher under the O'Bannon ruling.

it very well may be the light and how its being reflected off a shiny surface. the mans shirt doesn't reflect that way.

They probably did use the new Nike peach ink. I'm confident that in person, especially without a reference orange, it will look okay. Our brains will see orange and blue before pink and blue. It won't pop, but it'll be okay.
I don't want to rant. It's just a shame.

But that is what we are stuck with for now ... Until the next hopefully way more imaginative re brand ... So sit back and try to pretend to like it until then ... Yes?

I still really like the font and the shield. I do think the orange has too much red going on, though.
The font is pretty cool. Other than that, looking forward to the next rebrand.
I still really like the football uni aspect of the rebrand (obviously not ever seeing the Navy ones in person, but I'm confident I'll like those as well since I've always preferred Navy tops to the orange ones and I love ANY pants that aren't white). I just hope we don't over use the white helmets like we did last year. I like them with the all white storm trooper look but I just think we have a fairly unique color scheme, especially in the big ten, and I'd like to see us using the orange and navy helmets as much as possible. The Wisconsin game with the navy helmet convinced me that without even seeing the navy pants that N/W/N is by far our coolest combo and I'd love to see that be our default road look.

I get that they almost have to wear the orange tops in the Sept. and early Oct. games because of the heat, so it makes sense to wear those over the navy then, sure. And most people don't think the orange top navy bottom looks good, so I suppose I get the white pants look then. But other than that the white pants are totally over used. The W/N look on the road is by far my favorite look, even with an orange or white lid. And if we do actually get the navy unis in for this season I see no reason not to always wear the orange pants with the navy tops. Maybe it's because that's the default look that I grew up with (that most people probably grew up with the last 40 years) but I love it.

Remember before the rebrand when Beckman first got here, and his slogan was "Only Orange" because Illinois was the only team in B1G to have orange in their school colors? That's why our primary is orange, but I also think it looks great as an accent color with the navy helmets and pants, and while yet to be seen on the field, probably the tops as well.
I am with everyone else about the white helmets though. I want to see more Orange and more Blue in helmet selection this year. O/W/O looked great at Ohio St. B/W/W looked great WI (I think?), definitely want to see O/B/O at home and B/W/B in the road.

i want to see the grey or silver incorporated more though....not just all grey or grey and nay..not a fan of orange white orange.....but more navy is definitely due...mike waddel did say we would have the navy uni this yr

Yep that's correct. This was our best look of the season, IMO.
Edit: Wanted to add that I was at the game in Madison. So not sure how the B/W/W looked on live TV.
