There's no chance she's not scratching the paint job out there in the salt flats. Have some respect for the car, lady!

He does. Maybe someone should start a bracket based on the looks of the coach's wife. (Tongue firmly in cheek in case Ashley Judd would be lurking, not that that would happen)

My mental image of Ashley J. is firmly stuck around the turn of the millenium. Lately...let's just say she looks good for 48, but she looks like 48.

One game is one game, but any question that Keatts can match up Xs and Os with the best in the country have hopefully been answered for the skeptical. Virginia obviously has a ton more talent, but UNCW played solid D and actually seems to have a plan on O

I'm fairly confident Walker will stay, but it depends completely on who we hire. If we hire a respected head coach who wants to keep Walker then I think he stays. Going to Mizzou is such a risky move. Yeah you might be good or even elite with Tilmon, Porter, and company but after those first couple years all you are left with is a head coach that has underachieved in a program that can sink about as low as possible.

But if Whitman makes a good hire, Walker can stay and keep this really good recruiting class and build off of it. Staying at Illinois seems like a much safer/smarter career decision IMO.

But obviously I don't know what Walker's career goals are. Plus maybe he really respects Cuonzo. Who knows, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

am I crazy in thinking that JW fired JG when he did knowing that the NIT would give Walker a chance to "audition" for the incoming coach to retain him, whoever it may be?

I think if Illinois is smart they should go after Buzz Williams. I just don't think Marshall, Miller or Bennett are coming here and I put a lot of stock in what someone like Sean Harrington says, being a former player here and all.

Just had a good chat with Wichita State's Gregg Marshall here in Indy. He thinks the Shockers could be top 10 next season. I'm not saying he wouldn't listen to any of these openings, but don't mess with happy is a saying he believes in. My opinion: Would have to be a can't miss for him to leave. Wichita State wants to be like Gonzaga and Butler where the Shockers can get neutral site games against high major schools or home and home series outside of the region.

Did anyone see that Cuonzo Martin is wanting to get Walker as an assistant?

Archie Miller on his name coming up in conversations about Indiana and other openings: "I'm not attached to any of it. I think people attach me to them. ... Just wouldn't be right as a coach if you think about anything other than [my players]."

Translated---"Their people are talking to my people, and my people let me know about it. You won't hear me express anything until at least 18 hours after our last game."
