Just throwing this out there for future hind-sight... my list

I'd be ecstatic with all five, et al.

Ubermensch

BOOM! Feed my ego.
 Hadn't seen it mentioned with all the Jesus and wife posts. Sorry to be so late. Just popped up on yahoo but definitely old news.

Just giving you a hard time. This is always a crazy time of year. Coaching dominos fall fast. Hard to keep up if you aren't glued to your phone 24/7. :thumb:

well, the way it's going, Bryce Drew might be available today as well. I had Vandy in my bracket though

I have been surprised there was not been at least one post floating the idea of hiring him if we advance far enough in the NIT.

:hand:
He doesn't fit the requirements of the job posting. Maybe people actually read the posting!

I've been listening to all the NCST chatter concerning Miller, Keatts, etc. However Debbie Yow is the AD at NCST and this is what that means.

I live in a suburb of St Louis and when she was at SLU, she and head basketball coach Rich Grawer barely spoke. It was well known.

She went to Maryland and to her credit cleaned up the financial mess but it was well known that she and Gary Williams (a class act human being) had a "very strained relationship".

She is now back in her home state with a reputation as having maybe unrealistic expectations for her coaches. How bad does Miller want to put up with this or even Keatts.

Nothing in life happens in isolation. If you are a jerk as an AD, every head coach in every sport in America knows it almost immediately. They and their agents talk. You really think those coaches go to the Final4 to only watch basketball.

What is the perception of our very young AD by coaches/agents. Based on how he handles himself in front of a mic I admit I'm very optimistic.

You can get to the point that the Final4 weekend doesn't matter. On shoot around Friday morning in 2005, a friend of ours confronted Lute Olson at Lambert as he was getting ready to fly back to Tuscon. "Aren't you staying for the Final 4." His reply, "I had to be in town for a rules meeting but actually I enjoy the game more sitting on my couch in front of the TV'.

Her issues with Gary Williams at Maryland was his unwillingness to capitalize on the National championship momentum and his unwillingness to recruit. While it was very well documented they didn't get along, I would definitely say this is more due to Williams than Yow. The stories I have heard about him definitely conflict with the "class act of a human being" bit.

Yow, to her credit, has also gotten testimonials from her previous coaches to counteract that, according to the scuttlebutt I have heard.

Cuonzo might very well steal Walker and our recruits, but lets face it, no one in our class is a program changer. There are some really good players, but even Tilmon isn't going to lead us to a final four. Perhaps Cuonzo's strategy of hiring kids fathers and stealing assistants will mask his terrible coaching in the short term, but in 1-3 years when all these kids move on, he's going to have to find his own players, which won't come nearly as easy, and furthermore, he will have to coach them.

Probably a little too old.....and probably

not from the right part of the country to do well in Chicago.....but Kermit Davis seems like he has the Big 10's number. Guy can coach. If I am anywhere in the south, I am calling him.

At the very least the hate associated with miznoz and the braggin rights game is back in full force

Probably not going to be Chris Holtman

“I’ve got a lot of respect for Tom, and I’ve got a lot of respect for how his team plays,” Holtmann said. “I (also) had a close friend lose a job not too long ago at Illinois.

"We all get into this knowing the deal. Do I disagree with those decisions? Absolutely. Absolutely I do. Am I biased? Do I disagree with the decision at Illinois? Absolutely. They don’t care, but I know hard that guy works and how committed he was to his players and that he was really close to turning a corner.
