Any indications on when the new DC will be announced?
Passing up Kane would not be a good look for attracting good coaches.
Since most of us are in agreement with Kane being next man up, who do we think we bring in to be OLB coach? Since Kane would be DC do we give anyone else on the staff AHC role to get them to stay/become the next heir apparent?
Why would we have to hire a new OLB coach? DCs coach a position group. Walters coached the safeties

Thought Henry did the bulk of the DB coaching or is he just CBs?
the issues here are not who's next in line for DC. it is whos leaving off the staff, recruit list and off the roster.

He’s saying giving someone like Henry the AHC title to get him a bump and pay and keep him here to become the next DC if/when Kane or whoever leaves. Not to become the next HC

Wow! I never would have imagined that Butkus would be interested in getting into coaching at his age. I'm all in.
I don't think it's 1 or 0. Passing Kane up for another more proven rising star DC *cough Jim Leonhard* or something could definitely be a good thing and look for the program.
You don’t pass him up for just anyone obviously … We’re talking about Leonhard and that’s it … At the end of the day, Bielema is gonna do what’s best for the program … Kane while he may not like it, he would understand it
