i think the blues are the best, followed by grey, then orange. i agree that the zags on the orange are overpowering.

We have some old geezers in here. Loved how everyone thought the uniforms were great when they were first introduced and now all I see is negative. What gives? The zig zags are unique and the young kids will love them. Plus it's a little homage to the chief. Can't wait to see these things in motion.

My exact thoughts.
The white football unis were by far the best uni to come out of the rebrand IMO. I fully expect the bball alternates to be very different from the 3 we've seen though.

Unfortunately, I think we will look back on these basketball uniforms in 5 years and laugh at them. In the meantime, the rest of the nation will be laughing.
Completely unacceptable that they missed the opportunity to re-incorporate Fighting Illini.

According to almost everyone that posts on here who would know, they didn't.. Don't forget the throwback.
I'm not even going to try to paw through that Nike Re-brand thread, but is it confirmed there's more than what we're seeing here? I remember at the time of the unveiling Groce saying there's an alternate nobody has seen that is his favorite, but I also thought they didn't show the greys during the unveiling event.

As far as I know it hasn't been officially confirmed, but I've heard that it's a different one that no fans saw. The silver was unveiled at the re-brand, it just wasn't modeled in person, so Groce wouldn't have been talking about that one.
The silver/grey unis remind WAY too much of tO$U.

I can't believe the BTN uni poll ranked our new ones 11th tied with Purdue for FB. Ridiculous
Ridiculous, laughable, absurd... all good adjectives for that.
In a poll where Maryland and Minnesota's sets garnered respective 1st and 2nd place votes, I think the best thing to do is chuckle and move along.

I thought I was the only one that thought that. Particularly withy the orange numbers which in general terms is too close to red in this context.

Being one of the "old geezers" that hang around, I have to say that whatever looks good to the recruits that Groce is chasing is fine with me. Two things that matter: 1. someday there will be a patch of the "CHEIF" on all uniforms 2. any of these will look good in the winner circle holding a trophy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You two aren't alone. It's so nice that we can pay homage to Groce's former team though. (Just like doing the silly silence at a SFC game.) Maybe we can wear the gray unis when we play in Columbus just to confuse 'em. Could cause a couple extra turnovers in the game. :huh:
