It’s a very slippery slope, but I have EVERY confidence that if TSJ comes back, Whitman and Underwood have done their due diligence and can/will clarify how the accusations against TSJ were disproved so he and the University are cleared.

Don't understand how there could be no weapon for one charge but there could be a weapon for the "or"/alternate charge.

This is confusing. How can the battery charge say he used a “personal weapon,” but in the rape charge, he doesn’t? Alcohol doesn't seem to matter in the rape charge either while it matters in the battery charge…

I believe TJ took Tae Kwon Do as a child. Therefore he must register his feet and fists as a “personal weapon”
Is there any merit around the rumors associated with a plea to a lesser crime (excludes any sexual related items or battery) that Illinois is OK lifting the suspension?
agree 100%. If he is completely innocent, he should charge for defamation if can against the DA.
According to the KBI Handbook, a "personal weapon" refers to using bodily force of some type, such as punching, grabbing or kicking.

If a deal is in the works, potentially victim/witness is no longer cooperating. For anyone with a crim law background, would it ever be possible that the Lawrence PD is also not cooperating? This DA seems to be persona non grata at least to the bench, but I can’t imagine PD holds her in high regard either. Would a PD ever tell a DA a charge is an over reach and they won’t cooperate? I just can’t see a DA walking back such a serious charge within one mont of filing and within a week of it becoming public absent lack of cooperation from someone.

This is one of the more confusing reports I've seen despite its overwhelming simplicity. This allegedly occurred at 14:47:30, was reported to police at 14:47:58, a mere 28seconds after said event started and then was allowed to continue until 14:50:30? So either she called the police 28s into this event and was on the phone when it continued, or a friend made the call without trying to pull her/get her away or make a scene in the bar? And then there's an undisclosed personal weapon used for sexual battery but not rape? Well, this officer will make an interesting witness.

Alcohol was “not applicable“ on the ”rape” charge. It seems alcohol was just an issue on the “battery” charge.
I'm not well versed in reading incident reports, but this one seems to allow the defense quite a bit of room to work on getting the charges dropped. To the untrained eye the report makes no sense.

If that incident report is indicative of anything with regard to the broader integrity of this entire case...sheesh 
It's saying this took place the afternoon of the day after the game (Saturday afternoon), not the evening of the game (Friday night) as previously disclosed.
