Curb Your Enthusiasm..... Drops the mic.

Loved Curb. My wife absolutely hated that show. Much like I hated Sex in the City. We made a pact to never watch those shows unless we weren't together.

Walton Goggins' Venus Van Dam will return to 'Sons of Anarchy'

Sons of Anarchy fans are nervous heading into the show’s final season, but here’s something good to look forward to: Walton Goggins will return as transgender escort Venus Van Dam. Creator Kurt Sutter confirmed it on Twitter

What is everyone's opinion on the GOAT and GOAT episode in TV history?

I'm going with season 4 of BB. Walt, Jesse, Gus, and Mike worked so damn well with each other.

Then season 4 finale of BB is easily the GOAT episode.

Okay, I know what GOAT (greatest of all time, right?) means. For those like myself who do not have any interest in books or TV series that are a continuation until they are at or near their conclusion, what the He!! does BB mean? Breaking Bad? I actually have little interest in watching that based on the mixed reviews I've seen here on IL and elsewhere. I have so many choices on what to watch that if I read a couple of "season X sucked" reviews, or a combination of Season X +half of season Z or whatever sucked, then I'm not going to seek it out to watch. I watch a lot of TV and cable based series, and if I hit a series of 3, 4, 5, or more episodes in a row that suck then I'm done with that series. I'm currently going through the original Twilight Zone series (Rod Serling) and while I do hit the occasional dud, I am still going to follow it through. The choices are many now, with all the different original content shows available I have to have some sort of filter. So many choices, so little time.

Watch Breaking Bad. Thank me later. And yes, you will thank me.

I think I'm the only person in the country that didn't like the show. Maybe I need to try again. I watched the first few episodes when it first came out, but never got engaged with it.

I watched it when season 1 first came out and thought it was dumb. When the final season came around, I decided to give it a try again. So I gave it until end of season 2, and I was hooked. I watched season 3 through 5b in a week and a half on Netflix/iTunes. Give it until the end of season 2; it is a very slow starter but amps up.

Yes. It is freaking awesome. I think I'll start watching it again this weekend.

Give it 2 seasons. It really starts to amp up in season 2. Season 4 will blow your mind, seriously. Twist and turn every episode and Walt Sr. goes nuts. Watch it and you will love it.

I'm not sure I've got the patience to watch that long. Maybe I should take the time to read a book, God forbid. [emoji6]

I got hooked by watching DVD's from the library. I don't think I would have been hooked if I watched it weekly on TV (especially with all the commercials.) The only episodes I watched on TV were the last 6.

Breaking Bad is definitely worth it. I guess with my chemistry major, cancer work it appealed to me on a couple levels. Could not stop watching it though. I liked it all the way through except for his whiny wife.

Anyone watch Falling Skies?

I watched the first episode of The Leftovers. I think it has potential.

I heard The Last Ship and Dominion are starting out pretty good but I have not started either.

Also wondering if Defiance is any good.

What channels are those shows on? I'm looking for another tv series to watch.

I'm waiting for season 2 of True Detective to come out.

Leftovers is HBO

Last Ship and Falling Skies is TNT

Dominion and Defiance are SciFi.

For Breaking Bad fans, the spinoff, Better Call Saul, is reported to include some of the Breaking Bad timeline for Saul and may include a cameo from Walter White. (Taken from brief blurb on Rotten tomatoes.)

Speaking of BB, I watched the first 2 seasons on Blu Ray and then recorded the rest during the marathon leading up to the finale. I had just gotten around to watching it again and have 18-20 episodes left and I just realized this morning that my DirecTV DVR hard drive has failed. :(

Netflix is your friend. You get 30-days for free, and watch the last 3 seasons before the 30-days and delete it!

If you haven't watched game of thrones, I STRONGLY recommend it. I'm not into medieval stuff like that but once we started watching it I went through the first three seasons in three weeks.

Season 4 just ended, and I've already watched season 1 again, there's so any different storylies going on.

I haven't read the books.

It's decent. Not great but worth watching IMHO.

I just bought some of the books 1-4. Is this an ongoing series of books or are the shows all based on these four and will possibly end when the storyline is completed? Has anyone read the books who can comment on whether the TV series follows them closely or loosely? Thanks for the input! I've read the entire Wheel of Times series and would love to see a series based on them.

Game of Thrones is great for all the unexpected events. I liked the first 2 seasons the most.

I personally really like The Newsroom. It is one of the more intelligent shows out there, in my opinion. And, if nothing else, Olivia Munn is worth the effort.

Seconded. If you like the Newsroom, you should also try Suits.
