TV shows don't usually get me emotional (other than the last season of Lost when I was just flat-out angry all the time), but this one...
And now we wait for TWD to come back from break. AMC can be frustrating.

And they don't have anything to fill the void until then. In the past they've been able to rotate Breaking Bad, TWD, Hell on Wheels, and MadMen so that there was usually only a few weeks without a new episode of something.
TWD is off til February, Better Call Saul doesn't start until February, Hell on Wheels just wrapped up its season, and the premier date for season 2 of Turn is just listed as Spring 2015.
I was into Homeland initially but I thought it jumped the shark with the terrorist that became a Congressman like it was nothing. That and the Carrie Mathison character that is so annoying to me, that I couldn't take it anymore.Gave up on the walking dead twice. Not going back.
However, if anyone is not watching Homeland - you should. Its been incredible (every season).

I tried Walking Dead a little too, but didn't take for me. I watched Breaking Bad early on too, but it didn't do anything for me. Several have told me to go back to it and stay with it a little longer and I'd like. I just don't want to invest the time now.
I generally don't like comedies on TV (not sure why), but I have become a fan of Brooklyn 99. I also like Keye and Peele if that is considered a show. My kids turned me on to Drunk History which I think is a riot, but I'm not sure when it is on.
I like/liked The Newsroom, but I love almost anything Aaron Sorkin writes. I was watching last night and fell asleep. I'll have to finish the episode up tonight. I also had never seen Olivia Munn until this show. :thumb:The Newsroom is a good one especially if you don't want to invest too much time. They decided to stop writing for the show at the conclusion of season 3. The last episode was on last night.

Lots of my favorite shows have recently ended or are ending soon (Californication, Sons of Anarchy, Psych, Breaking Bad, Parks and Recreation, Justified, Mad Men, etc...).
I plan to catch up on the Game of Thrones hype, but there are a few series on Netflix that I've heard positive reviews for:
1. Black Mirror
2. Lilyhammer
3. Sherlock
4. Peaky Blinders
5. Bob's Burgers
Anybody have any input on these? Or have recommendations I may have overlooked?
Edit: List of shows on Netflix I am caught up on:
-Archer, Arrested Development, Bates Motel, Derek, Dexter, Freaks and Geeks, Hell on Wheels, House of Cards, How I Met Your Mother, The Killing, The League, Longmire, Lost, Louie, New Girl, The Office (U.S.), Orange is the New Black, Pretty Little Liars (guilty pleasure), Scandal, Scrubs, Top of the Lake, Undeclared, Weeds, The X-Files.
Edit 2: That's a lot of TV. Maybe I don't need a new show.
Highly recommend Rectify (don't expect a lot of action, but it's great), The Returned, The Fall, Happy Valley. For action/diversion you can't go wrong with Strike Back and Banshee. I don't see Homeland on your list. Definitely has valleys, but the time IMO. At its best, it's riveting.
Bob's Burgers is supposed to be really good. Ditto for Missing. Am really looking forward to Bosch.
Can't go wrong w/Sherlock. Lilyhammer is good, but not great.
All time greats: Deadwood & The Wire (and, yeah, I don't like Westerns either).
Of your suggestions, Rectify really caught my attention. Added to the list!
I've been waiting on a friend's ShowTime Anytime account info to get started on Homeland. I've heard complaints about its valleys, but I really enjoy a female lead (in both TV and film).
Season 3 of Homeland is not nearly as good as the previous seasons. But the show has bounced back. Also, anything's going to pale in comparison to season 1.

Orphan Black might interest you.
Can't believe I forgot The Americans. 2nd season was outstanding.
