I finally got caught up through season 5 of Justified. Season 5 not as satisfying as season 4, but the setup for season 6 looks like they might knock it out of the part.

Now I have to decide which other series I want to jump in to. Looking between The Bridge, The Wire, and The Americans. I've also got a shiny Blu-ray set of Deadwood that needs to be watched.

I just started The Wire. It's been good so far.

But if that were my list I think I'd go with Deadwood. I loved that show. Still pisses me off that they didn't go more seasons.

Deadwood definitely. Far and away my favorite.

Then The Americans then The Bridge.

All 3 of those are really good. Add The Walking Dead and Homeland and you've got my entire top list.

Never watched The Wire, but I probably should.

I've seen all but the last season of Deadwood already, but since the set was a gift from my kids I think it needs to be next. The Mrs. is already a fan of The Bridge, so that's probably on deck.

The Walking Dead may be my single favorite TV show of all time. I probably just doomed it, because I said the same thing about Lost right before the writers strike, and then the subsequent shark-jumping, bed-sharting, fanboy-disappointing next three seasons that nearly led to me going full Elvis on my widescreen during season 6.

I recently started watching True Blood. Has the three things I look for in movies: violence, nudity and bad language. :)

Deadwood is great. I tried to watch the Wire but never got caught up in it and gave up after 5 or 6 episodes. I watched the first season of the Bridge but it was not good enough to spend time for a second season and I never started with the Americans. Just watch Deadwood.

So.. The Leftovers.. uhh.. wow.

Wow good or wow bad?

I'm rather enjoying it.

Last Sunday's episode was the best this season by far. I'd had enough of the "what's real and what's a dream" contrivances. Give me some good ole wacked-out cultists, a government conspiracy, and a small town ready to explode.

Don't know what they thought they were doing the first few weeks.

I just got HBOGO on my Xbox and I'm so pumped! What should I watch after Entourage? The Sopranos or Game of Thrones?

Easy choice for me, Sopranos. I might be one of the few people in the world that isn't a Game of Thrones fan though, and I watched about a season and a half. I'm not sure why, just can't get into it.

I'm part of that few as well. I just don't like the Thrones. The Sopranos is the best tv series ever. So many family events (I had an older sister, secretive Italian father, a volatile mother and a manipulative grandmother who rarely spoke english) were straight out of my childhood including the Sunday extended family dinners that often ended in conflict.

Do you watch boardwalk empire Pizza? I feel you on the big Sunday family dinners. It's how my half Sicilian mother was raised by her mother.

yes, that's good but still a step down from the sopranos. I own dvd's of the complete series for three tv shows, the soprano's, deadwood, and faulty towers. After that, if I've seen it once, that's enough.

Such a shame that Fawlty Towers is only 12 episodes long. One of my all time favorites as well. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's hilarious and must see TV!

Thought this thread could use a revival. Anybody up to date with Sons of Anarchy or The Walking Dead this fall?

I'm too lazy to look through this entire thread, but is anyone a fan of The Middle?

My daughter watches it, she is an adult daughter, she enjoys it. I on the other hand don't get it.

I enjoyed watching The Knick on Cinemax with Clive Owen and thought it was very good, I didn't want the season to end.

SOA (quite an episode this week) and Homeland are the only two that I make sure to keep caught up on each week.

Anyone else watching Scorpion? It's my favorite new show this season.

Without spoiling anything from SOA, I'm enjoying the storyline of this season, but I'm having a difficult time connecting with the characters. Jax is not who he used to be (for understandable reasons), I've never liked Gemma, the character development of new SAMCRO members has been poor, and I miss too many of the characters no longer on the show.

These last few episodes will be a wild ride.

I like the Walking Dead this season. I've liked em all I guess except season 2 was a bit of a bore. But this season has been pretty good so far.

Homeland is really kicking in now too. The first two episodes kind of dragged but the last few are getting more and more intense.

I have enjoyed the season quite a bit but agree that there are fewer and fewer characters that I care about.

Walking Dead is one of the best seasons so far. Over the top gore but a lot of suspense. I think it may drag as the storyline flits from group to group but the first episodes (minus last week) were quite good IMO.

Glad you mentioned Homeland improving. I watched the first episode this season and lost interest. I'll give it another try.

How about that The Walking Dead midseason finale? I don't recall the hospital storyline from the comic series, so if it in fact wasn't, I give much props to the writing staff.

This is the best season to date, in my humble opinion.

TV shows don't usually get me emotional (other than the last season of Lost when I was just flat-out angry all the time), but this one...:(
