Enough to test any player and take their sanityAin't that the truth
18U would certainly make more sense than U18. They clearly bill it as an under 18 gig, though. Yes, it bothers me greatly. It really, really does...FIBA recommends the following age-specific categories: U13, U15, U18 (player is 13/15/18 or younger on 1 January of the year of the event)

No offense to Ray, but Ray was a bit of a chucker and ball hog. That Rodgers is not.R
Rayvonte Rice? Not on 89 but closest reminder for me.
Rice had a .600 TS% his last year. I wouldn't call that a "chucker". Agree that they are not really the same type of player though since Rice was very much a score-first player. I think Ty is pretty unique, a supercharged DaMonte feels like a good comparison to me, but I agree not a 1 for 1.No offense to Ray, but Ray was a bit of a chucker and ball hog. That Rodgers is not.
To find the right comp for what we all hope he becomes we have to break out of the O&B bubble for a moment. If Ty is as advertised and reaches full potential I think the comp is Draymond Green. Just typing that was exciting. That's of course a best case scenario, but I think he's that type of player even if it's as a lesser version of that.Rice had a .600 TS% his last year. Never claimed it was, and am sure I've seen it on here at some point, though not in a while. If it's been posted recently and I missed it I'm sorry for being redundant. After pages of people wrangling over a good Illini comp I figured I'd chime in with the one that seems obvious to me.not exactly a novel comp
Pretty sure you can come up with reasonable comps for all those guys.comp comp comp.
I'm ready for him to make it into the pantheon of incomparable players. Dee, Battle, Ayo....

I've heard from athletes at Drake that Rice enjoyed the party aspects of the college athlete experience quite a bit.Ray wasn't very good in the locker room too.
Like he already hates us?Yeah, in all honesty, Ty is closer to Bardo than he is to anyone else on that 89 team
I don't get the Draymond comp. as Draymond was a low post high volume shooter in college.Yeah, I get the Draymond thing for sure. Obvious caveat to all of this is we will have to see what aspects of his game translate best to the college game, etc. etc.
That he did, as did a number of players in the Groce era-which hurt the potential of those teams IMO (as well as the general incompetency of the staff).I've heard from athletes at Drake that Rice enjoyed the party aspects of the college athlete experience quite a bit.
Co-signing the first sentence. Quite a few guys on those teams from 2013-2017 era were certainly not as “engaged”. But I think that falls on the staff to get the players to buy in, which was another downfall of Groce. That he did, as did a number of players in the Groce era-which hurt the potential of those teams IMO (as well as the general incompetency of the staff).
Anyways-can’t wait to see Ty suit up in the fall. I really think this freshmen class is going to be special when it’s all said and done.
Interestingly, Ty is likely ahead of Green in his development. Green played all 4 years at Michigan State. He really came into his own when he started hitting 3's his Junior year. He was only 95th in the RSCI.Never claimed it was, and am sure I've seen it on here at some point, though not in a while. If it's been posted recently and I missed it I'm sorry for being redundant. Edit: just saw via search function someone posted it a few days ago so my bad. Been a busy week and kinda skimmed a lof of the Monday-Wednesday stuff on here
