I guess my point is he does not need a nuclear shooting night to stuff the stat sheet. That’s very rare for a freshman.unfortunately he had a very cold night shooting the ball. his putback that almost won us the the game notwithstanding

As someone pointed out earlier in the thread, they could run the baseline on that inbounds so putting (and keeping) someone on the passer would have been tough and that player would be useless on D after thatI really hope that if we get in that spot again we put someone on the inbounds passer.
Blown a 23-point lead this late in the season? I’m calling bull!!!! on that.Lots of champions have lost games like this in the regular season.
Lost a 1 point OT road game Q1 to a team much in a similar vein to MSU, where fouls were touchy and the other team was basically allowed to beat the ever loving crap out of the Illini starters, to the point where 4 of them had to leave the game for a bit to tend to various injuries. What’s your reasonable take on what just happened?
Thank Thank You Thank You . This the best comment on this Board Tired of the KenPomChampionship teams win these games. There are no banners for Kenpom metrics.
Posted the full one separately but basically complacent defense let them get going and then didn’t have the legs to make the plays down the stretch. What’s your reasonable take on what just happened?
To KW’s defense UCLA was just pounding him the entire game and getting away with it most of the timeYeah Wagler was especially off from 3 compared to what we are used to. Maybe he does have tired legs after all.
Anyway six days off to recover then beat meatchicken and the rest of the regular season games we have left and we are in good shape
When Mirk, Tomi, Andre and Keaton go 2 of 18 from 3 then maybe drive the ball instead of taking a 28 footer up 1 early in the clock. I know Keaton has some huge shots and Andre has shot it better lately. Late in the clock fine but not early in that spot when we are getting to the line. Keaton and Sndre were doing great getting to the line and i wish i had seem more from them and BozWagler with 19pts, 8reb, 6ast, and 8/8 on FTs. He had 6 (SIX!) offensive rebounds.
5 of 15 overall shooting and 1 of 6 from three. 19 points on 15 shots is wildly inefficient and can't happen.Wagler with 19pts, 8reb, 6ast, and 8/8 on FTs. He had 6 (SIX!) offensive rebounds.
We can really do without people like you trying to sugarcoat this disaster.Except for all the times champions lose this kind of game
If somebody would have tried to stop the ball or stand in the way of the runner the time would not have mattered they would have been forced to shoot from at least three point range.. and they probably would have missed and we would have won but nobody stopped the guy with the ball and I don't know why I mean it's confounding to me.How much does putting the clock all the way at 4.9 impact that? Way too much time.
I don't want to spoil anything for you but Michigan is going to destroy us.Yeah Wagler was especially off from 3 compared to what we are used to. Maybe he does have tired legs after all.

Brad ain’t winning !!!! at the end of the year. I was buying the hype but tonight reminds me the turd he is in late game situations. Time after time after time. Sweet 16 max.Lots of champions have lost games like this in the regular season.
People LOVE to be mad. It’s the human condition.Man, it's telling how many posters have been aching to rag on the coaching and the metrics, just waiting for the chance. 9 pages in 30 minutes, many posters who have been quiet for the entire year.
It's almost like we're happy to watch and enjoy until it all goes to !!!! the exact same way again. That's not "aching to rag"; that's hoping for the best, being proven wrong every single year, and running out of patience.Man, it's telling how many posters have been aching to rag on the coaching and the metrics, just waiting for the chance. 9 pages in 30 minutes, many posters who have been quiet for the entire year.
A tipped ball wins the game. Thats a good reason to do so.This was my issue with it. 4.9 seconds is WAY too much time when you're giving a clear path to inbound the ball. There was clearly a fear of fouling and rightfully so.
