Does DJW not see that 5, 6, 7, 100 guys are not going to be here next year? I don't care who is coming in, they are new and need to learn the system. The opportunities for who remains here is gigantic, including him.

Hope DJ stays. Obviously won't be 8 or even 7 freshman next year but 7-8 newcomers is bad news for any program not named Kentucky or Duke.

This would be a real shame. Kid is a sophomore with a real chance to be a contributor next season. So much talent. Hang in there DJ. Keep your head down and work hard, your chance will come.

Given how little he found the floor considering how much dysfunction has existed on the team the past two years, I imagine his frustration level is through the roof. Hope this isn't true, but it's very easy to see him going and having a strong college career elsewhere.

This. Makes no sense. He will essentially lose a half of a year to play. He'll get to play at semester next year but that will be his junior year of college bball. Finish with us then weigh your options and decide. If he transfers he gets a year to learn system with a team and 2 years to play ball.

I think the option would also be out there to transfer to JC, if he can get a degree then he would be eligible next year as well.

I hope it isn't true. Kid needs to figure out how turn it on all of the time. Seems to be the worst case of HRFness.

I know its not really fans right to know what exactly is going on, but the whole saying something without saying anything is so annoying. It allows all these thoughts and ideas to come out. Just say what it is. Considering his future with the team? Discipline? I hate all the guessing.

Agree with the sentiment for us fans for sure. There are lots of situations in life where the unlimited possibilities are much worse to consider than the one reality. That said, it is still DJW's news and the team's news and therefore their decision as to whether or not to share. But no doubt about it, we would better off with a short and simple explanation.

The big reason, he is playing behind Malcolm (who is pretty much indispensable to this team). He could have gotten some time at the four, but with Black, Finke, & now Kipper ahead of him those minutes may dry up some too.

If he is unhappy, the last part is probably a big reason. I can see the following issues:

  1. He saw Nunn play early and is seeing Morrow doing the same so he thinks he should be as well.
  2. He is seeing guys his age and younger on this team getting minutes and not seeing enough for himself causing questions about where he will be moving forward.
  3. Hill is simply too good for him to replace for meaningful minutes and that won't change until next year.
