And lose the NYC and DC TV markets? Nonsense. Adding LA isn't worth that. The ad revenue from this is going to be insane. Coast to coast.

Game times could get awkward, though.

They'll go with pods. Long distance games will be limited (for each school). With a bit of common sense (iffy), bad viewing times will be reduced.

TV markets aren't likely to matter as much moving forward. Its all going to be about eyeballs and streaming.

Also we have to expect this to be locked in soon with the TV deal being negotiated.

No point to the PAC-12 if this happens.

Inept leadership of the PAC-12 is a big reason for this.

The PAC's viewing numbers aren't good. Their leadership may be poor, but that isn't the crux of the biscuit.

Oregon, UW, Cal, and Stanford will follow to Big Ten.

Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and ASU to the Big 12.

WSO, OSU, and Mountain West become new Pac-12.

I'd be willing to bet markets still matter. They just won't be the only consideration. The overall fanbase size will be a big driver since that will drive streaming.

Ok, the 24 team league setup I posted about a week or two ago was just supposed to be a crazy idea but I guess we'll see where things go from here. What are Oregon, Washington, Cal-Berkeley, Stanford, etc. going to do now?
