Week 1 Games
EIU defeats Indiana State 27-0 in Terre Haute tonight. Stout performance by the Panther defense as they force 6 Sycamore turnovers, including 2 pick-sixes. Georgetown Transfer QB Pierce Holley had 244 yards passing with 2 TDs and an INT. Only the first game of the year so no telling if this will be indicative of the rest of the season for either team.
EIU returns to action next Saturday at Bowling Green with kickoff set for 1:00 PM and the game (and all EIU games this season) will air on ESPN+.

Indiana State's QB with one of the absolute worst performances I think I've seen in a while. Not just turnover wise(barely pushed the ball down the field) just honestly looked like the game was way too fast for him.
I think it was their backup and not the expected starter so the performance can be excused a little bit. They play at IU next Friday night.
Minnesota and Nebraska both looking like very vulnerable teams with some major holes. While it's only 1 game, I'm having a difficult time seeing either in the running for the West title.
Boy that first possession of the 3rd in nebby/Minny was just slop all around with a sprinkle of luck. Apparently with Frosty gone, the ridiculous random chance stuff can go Nebraska's way sometimes

Sims appears to be a really subpar passer. Rhule needs to start going straight option- it's been effective when used. As for Minnesota, losing Ibrahim looks to be absolutely devastating to their offense. Their O-line has offered good pass protection, but that's about it.

Kaliakmanis is Brett Favre with worse accuracy and decisionmaking, and gets nervous under pressure. Teams that have solid defenses should feast on him.

I can’t watch Florida-Utah because apparently there is a dispute between Disney/ESPN and Spectrum that just started tonight. So I think, “Fine, I’ll just watch it on the ESPN+ app, WHICH I PAY FOR!”. I go to the app, and I’m blocked there as well, I guess because my internet/tv provider is Spectrum? How is this acceptable? I pay for the ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu+ bundle. It shouldn’t be any of their business who I’m connecting through.
