speaking of uniforms , anyone besides me think Minnesota’s dull (sorta washed out ) color of their maroon jerseys look like pajamas ?

between that and the Alvin the Chipmunk face gopher logo , and the canoe paddle on the stripe is just a rather grade school look to me

PJ Fleck is indeed a strange dude
I agree. A little maroon goes a long way, and the all-maroon kit looks drab. I'm not a fan of the same-color scheme for pants and jerseys, either.

Minnesota's combo of maroon and gold has a lot going for it. I don't know why they don't get back to their mid-'70s scheme (Tony Dungy below ~ 1976) where the gold stands out against the maroon. Those gold helmets (~matte, not the super-shiny variety) look great, too. They'd gone all-gold the two previous seasons and that was IMO a bit much (Dungy shown in gold in '75.)

Watching the #5 LSU v #8 FSU game, and looks like Nike basically gave us LSU uniforms with Illini colors (helmets included). Don't get me wrong, I think our new uniforms are a major improvement, but Nike didn't exactly come up with a new creation or break the bank doing it.

LSU V FSU exceptional athletes, good action but can't believe how many really dumb penalties. Constant intimidating, posturing and late hits. Can't anybody just compete?

There’s only so much you can do.

You can do stripes above the shoulders, stripes around the shoulders, or no stripes.

So there’s 3 possible stripe combinations with 128 FBS football teams.

I don't necessarily disagree about the options for stripe locations. But, I'm not willing to give a huge company that rakes in hundreds of millions of dollars a bunch of credit for applying Illini colors to a design that is not even close to new. Just spit-balling here, but I think a company with that kind of resource could come up with something, wait for it, . . . . other than stripes.

I don’t know who this guy is but you can’t put Wisky at 3 for beating a MAC team. They didn’t beat a ranked team to move ahead of O$U. Unless you are saying the MAC opponents are better than IU. I definitely would not put IU ahead of any team who won same with Nebraska.
Next week I think we get a clearer picture how teams are with us playing KU Nebraska against Colorado Wisky against WSU. Purdue vs VT Iowa vs Iowa st

The B1G hired several Pac-12 officials this offseason - including Chris Coyte, who worked the UI-Toledo game.
Oh good god no

Just when I had thought the virus of Pac-12 refereeing had killed the host, a new batch of super spreaders emerges.

I implore you all keep track and report the Pac-12 expats. They ruin games like few can. Its more than just a bad call or two. Its a whole broken culture and awful consequences for game watchability.

Speak out often or hope for the best. The Pac-12 referee sickness must be contained before it ruins the B1G.

Puddles got so exhausted from doing so many push-ups yesterday, you'd have to hope he got an ice bath after the game:

I was there yesterday… Let’s put “push-ups” in air quotes, shall we?
I mean, c’mon! His nose is one inch off the ground!

Hard to determine much from a game like this, but it looks like Oregon will use its offensive firepower to move the scoreboard, and dare other teams to try to keep up.

Don’t look now, but the PAC’s swan song season is off to an undefeated start…
