We have 1 maybe 2 NFL players on defense. Ohio State, has 8 atleast. My goodness every one picking us to beat them at home need to stay out of Marijuana stores!
I like our line and rotation. Linebackers better get better quickly. We are gonna miss Mr. JOSH MCcray massively. Super surprised by talent and depth at Wide receiver. Tanner Arkin will find a home on NFL roster next year, he is in great shape. Cole needs to knock rust off. Here's to getting better every week.
Go Illini!

This Arch Manning performance today:

Manning threw 30 passes today and maybe a dozen of them were on target.

Texas probably wins this game with a better QB performance, which ends up hiding how many yards OSU gave up in the 2nd half, and a shaky offensive performance of their own.

Anybody else not buying the Arch Manning hype? He really couldn't beat out a 7th round pick in Quinn Ewers --who looked pretty darn abysmal today in his preseason debut. But, we are supposed to buy that he is this Heisman frontrunner (which is most lists right now).

Altmeyer is a better college quarterback as right now.
So is Allar and many others IMO. But ESPN has hyped this young man out realistic expectations.

He's got the name recognition, he has the Texas brand, a great roster --40 million plus worth I might add. But all I've seen when I watch him is a GOOD Quarterback.
Bump.

Ohio State's defense got the 4th down stops when they needed, but did allow 4.5 yards per rush, got credit for just 2 passes defended, got 1 sack and just 3 credited pressures on Manning.

They'll get better for sure, but the real story of this game was the shaky QB play on both ends with new QBs that effectively kept yardage and points lower than they should have been.

Wish Ohio State was week 2

Boy, hope Duke and Indian's first game (half for IU) performances continue for a couple of games longer. Both underwhelming compared to how we looked IMO. Will still likely be very tough games, but games I will be disappointed if we lose.
I've been a slight lean toward us winning at IU, but this game has me a little more confident

Northwestern with a sad showing.. also sad that Leary is the backup at Tulane bc I rly thought he could have some success there.. that’s how it goes with the portal I guess

Watching a bit of Georgia-Marshall...

I know McCray has had a bout with illness in the preseason, but he's way down on the RB depth chart. 4 RBs have seen time so far in the first half, and the leading rusher is the QB, but no McCray yet.
