Here's a name for us to think about and remember for four years: Owen Freeman.

Who, you ask? Owen Freeman; 6-10, 230 pound forward from Moline IL

Why's that? 11-13 fg, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, zero turnovers, 22 pts, in Iowa's eighteen point win over Nebby, in Nebby's next game after taking down #1 and giant Eddy.

Good game for the young man who is averaging over 15 points in his last four games, three of which came against B1G opponents.

Would he have gotten any playing time with this 23-24 Illini?

Was he offered a scholly to the beloved or was he an early commit to the Hawks?

Wisconsin finding a way to develop an offense that can put up points is not ideal for the rest of the B1G

They've been much better in recent games than they are today. 32 points and 10 turnovers at halftime on the home court isn't particularly impressive to me. Northwestern does have a way of making most teams look ugly though.

I had to do a double take to make sure this was correct: NW has been whistled for 15 personal fouls... the 2nd half just started.

Northwestern hanging in there. If they can keep it close they can pull it out

I think he was like 182 on 247. Fell from 136.

He committed early IIRC. Transferred to Moline to play with Harding as they were AAU teammates I think.
I watched him three times last year.
He looked like a project TBH. Nice size, could run, good hands, but really did not dominate as you might think for a D1 6'10" post prospect in HS.

Iowa has done wonders with him. Iowa really develops kids offensively.
Kid has played really well on offense. Makes himself available, finishes, and Iowa finds him.
Is kind of lost defensively, but will get better.

Northwestern simply isn’t good. Wisconsin will slip up at some point. They have Purdue twice as well
