I like the fact he's one of the few still doing the suit and tie. I just think it looks much more professional.
I normally can take or leave the whole suit vs coach casual thing (Whatever a coach wants to wear and feels comfortable is in is OK by me. If I were coaching, I'd wear casual or at least the sportcoat and no tie look since those are pretty much what I wear to the office a lot), but Pitino is an exception. I've seen a game this season where he was in coach casual, and it just doesn't look right for him.

Marquette and Creighton down to the wire in Omaha. Bluejays up 62-61 with six minutes left.

I'm glad I'm a fan of a Big Ten team and can just watch Big East games as a neutral fan. They are all-out battles.

Agree and always thought if he just added a small amount of white powdered substance on his upper lip and a big fat Cohiba in one hand it would really complete his look

Regarding the "coach casual" look for Pitino . . . No - just no. :)

Duke Clemson an exciting game

Clemson up 70-67 with 1:30 left after trading 3s

If I had to guess, I'd say Auburn will still be ranked #1 next week, as today was only their second loss and they just recently beat Tennessee. Maybe Alabama jumps to #1, maybe Florida gets some #1 votes, but I expect Auburn will hang onto the top spot.

What could be interesting is there's a chance that 4 SEC teams are ranked 1 to 4 next week in Auburn, Alabama, Tennessee and Florida.

Watching St Mary’s against Oregon St and Mikey Lewis hit two 3s on back to back possessions, and just hit another. Didn’t Illini recruit him for a bit?

The #2 Illinois Wesleyan's women's team took their first loss of the season yesterday up at Carthage. Carthage was on fire with shooting. I guess it was bound to happen; IWU had won 20 straight but now are 20-1. They still lead the conference standings and favored to host the CCIW tournament.

as we all know, we are 4-4 over the last 8 games. Here are how some ranked teams have fared over their last 8 games:
Kansas 4-4
Kentucky 4-4
Ia. st. 4-4
Marquette 4-4
Tennessee 4-4
Ole Miss 4-4
Miss st 3-5
Uconn 4-4
Baylor 4-4. They are not ranked but most were (and many still are) high on them to make a post-season run and their troubles with injuries and Illness are eerily similar to ours.
I know some of the teams, if not most, have played some very good teams during the stretch, and I may be wrong, but only Tennessee and Baylor are close to what we have been going thru over the last 8 games with injuries and illnesses.

Capt. Obvious has done a study of college basketball this season and here are the results (disclaimer: not as good as NET, but roughly equivalent to the AP poll):
Other than Auburn and Duke (and sometimes including them, as demonstrated last night), all the other top 75 teams fall roughly in these categories:
1) Team A plays well, Team B not so much, Team A wins
2) Team B plays well, Team A not so much, Team B wins
3) Both teams play well, coin flip
4) Both teams play poorly, coin flip
Digging deeper, anytime Team A has Dickinson and Team B has CoHawk, Team B wins
Team A shoots 40+ 3's...and hits <15%, Team B wins
Team A unleashes Will downhill, Tomi serves as an AWACS (Airborne Early Warning & Control System) on both ends of the floor & the real KJ shows up, Team A wins 90% of the time

Here's hoping Rutgers and their two freshman can bring Maryland and their two big men back to the pack by giving them their 6th conference loss. It would help us.

Might as well ask and discuss: Is Queen the best Marylander since Len Bias?
