He's got two extra base hits.

And as you mentioned, is an absolute butcher at 2nd. I've seen all I need to with Micah.

I mean extra bases in the sense that he alone can turn groundout into infield singles, but my choice or words was poor there.

I was OK with Micah until this series. He's played near 25 games now and shown absolutely zero improvement in the field. Southside Sox had a great Stat on him today, something like he's on pace for 47 Defensive Runs Saved below average, when the worst in recent years is -34. Yikes.

While I don't know what their plans are for Sanchez right now, but we could always stick Beckham back over at 2nd. Gordon's been putting some pretty good wood on the ball as of late...

The problem with Micah is that he isn't stealing many bases. His value to the team will be getting on and getting into score position for the top of the lineup. You combine that with Eaton coming up right after him with little pop, even with all that speed, it takes 2 or 3 hits to score them.

I'd almost say start Bonafacio at 2B tonight, send Micah down, call up Sanchez to meet them out in Oakland, and get Micah the work he needs in Charlotte. I gotta be thinking Micah is thinking the same thing. He's no dummy, he knows what his lack of production is...

Two strait on the road to get to 4-12 away from the Cell (10-5 at home). And looking at the schedule, it hasn't been a dramatic difference in competition level between the two.

You got your wish on the first part. Let's hope you get the rest. This slow start has to be waring on Micah. Let him get his head strait as you suggest.

Great outing by Quintana last night!!! And I'm sure glad Bonafacio was at second, snaring that almost sure base hit! Got a little dicey there in the end, but Robertson came through.

And on a side note, Beckham played an excellent 3B...:thumb:

Surprise, surprise...;)
Pretty easy to see coming, although I still do like Micah long term if he can figure out a few things. A speed guy with no pop not using his speed doesn't bring a lot to the table. Hope he can figure things out in AAA and be a table setter for us in the future.

Your turn Carlos. Somebody has to step up and take this opportunity by the horns.

That was SWEET!!! Late game tonight (10:05 start for me, hate when the boys go out west!), Rodon on the mound, I'm watching...

At the opposite end of the spectrum, I have several friends who have taught in Orlando that are nearing the 35 year mark...retirement. One retires in about 3 weeks. They all enjoyed it...but they certainly ain't gonna miss it!!;)

I already have a job lined up here in the QC. High school math

Algebra? Trig? Pre-calc? Excellent Sir!! My brother and SIL live in Kewanee, just a stone's throw. My old fraternity brother (and pledge class brother) is developing "The Dock", on the river. Todd Raufeisen, you may have heard of him...

Haven't been given my schedule yet but I believe it will Algebra both at the Freshman level and Junior level.

I have DEFINITELY got to call out Danks more often! Great outing, the boys win tomorow, back to .500! Which, after that disasterous road trip a couple weeks ago, I'll take .500!!

We're probably a .500 team at the end of the day.

This is fun let's keep winning.

I wonder how much Rodon's move to the rotation has galvanized the clubhouse.
