Apparently there was a fan there? I wonder how he got in.

There were a handful of scouts in attendance, seated about 5 rows back from home plate

Yeah, Bailey, not the best 1st inning I've ever seen...

Wasn't really Shark's "fault", but he let it get to him. Runner on first, no outs, ball hit to Abreu. Instead of getting the sure put out, he threw to second, pulling Alexi off the bag (safe), then Alexi's throw pulled Abreu off the bag...safe. So instead of 2 down, nobody on, it's 2 on, nobody out. Just steamrolled from there...

It's a damn shame the Sox appealed the suspensions. Had Samardzija and Sale served their suspensions this week, I could understand these last two games.

The offensive display in the Twinkies series was an offensive display...

Something has to be done with Danks. Like penciling in a L whenever he's on the mound...

Was just about to ask, is it time to consider a change?

When taking into account his relationship with the organization, I think they give him time to right the ship.

From an objective standpoint though, I think his clock should be winding down. Was hoping he'd settle down a bit but there's still evidence of him over-managing this year. I don't know if this veteran group trusts him.

We've been poor in every single facet. It's early, but all indications are this team isn't good.

Agreed on the relationship aspect. Didn't Robin have to be persuaded to take the job by the front office? Perhaps he could "step down"?

Agreed, Bailey. It's as if what we THOUGHT the Sox could be this year, and what we are seeing on the field...we have to be talking about 2 different teams, right?

Hiring Ventura was a joke. The Sox essentially begged him to take the position. How could a major league team hire someone who never managed at any level before?

Ever since the collapse in late September 2012, this team has been pathetic.

The Sox have the second-worst record in the MLB since the start of 2013 - only ahead of the Houston Astros. The same Houston Astros who are currently in first-place.

Enough is enough.

I'm attending a season-ticket holder meet and greet with Rick Hahn scheduled before the game on Wednesday night.

Curious if:

a) fans are given the chance to speak their minds and ask the questions we all want answers to (such as when will someone be held accountable)

b) Rick Hahn will answer or deflect the questions

c) The organization will cancel the event out of fear that such questions will be asked.

The Brewers pulled the plug on Ron Roenicke tonight. If only the White Sox had the heart/courage/testicular fortitude to do the same.

I was a huge advocate for hiring Dave Martinez at the time, but he still hasn't landed a managerial job. He was a buzzworthy candidate for a few openings around that time but must be a bad interview or something. I can't remember who else was considered for the job. Joe McEwing and Buddy Bell maybe...

Whatever it takes to keep Cooper though. Probably the best pitching coach in the bigs.

Coop's magic is starting to wear off. He actually had the audacity to go on radio a few weeks back and complain that fans aren't coming out. I think the quote was "I don't know where are fans are?"

Well Coop, I don't know where your pitching staff is. Maybe he should spend less time whining on the radio and more time working with the staff to lower their atrocious ERAs:

Jeff Samardzija 4.78
Jose Quintana 5.28
Chris Sale 5.32
John Danks 6.20
Hector Noesi 6.75

Yes, they've been terrible. Much of that is due to poor management of the farm system by Kenny Williams. We had no prospects worth noting other than Sale for quite some time. Only in the last two years has it improved.

Realistically, I've been planning on next year being the year that they compete. I started drinking something much stronger than kool-aid toward the end of spring training and thought they might take advantage of some mediocre teams with a great top of the rotation. It's early, but it appears I was wrong. And it's not surprising. Look at the lineup - we have holes at C, 3B, 2B, RF, CF. That's too many holes. You can cover 1 or 2 weak links, but not that many.

I'm also no longer sure that it will improve next year. Alexei must be traded for a prospect that can contribute next year. Package him with Quintana if that's what it takes. After that, we have to hope that Johnson develops at 2B and that some of our prospects really come on earlier than expected.

I should say something about last night's game, but that would probably jinx us for tonight...so I won't...

Smards starts his suspension tonight, dropped his appeal. Sale will do the same, most likely, after tonights game.

Knock 'em dead tonight, Chris!!!!:thumb:
